My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Wow this recipes is the best. So simple and so good. Next time I will use real butter for a little more flavor. I also mix the popcorn and peanuts up in a brown paper bag, so easy to clean up. I add 1/3 C. corn syrup and 1/3 C. Molasses.

Red Hot Baked Apples

Nice recipe, I also added about 1/4C. of raisins, it adds a little more flavor. I also placed a dab of butter on the brown sugar mixture before placing the top of apple back on. I covered with tin foil for first 20 minutes then removed tin foil for the rest of baking time.

President Ford's Braised Eye Round Steak

I dont know if I didn't cook the steaks right but they came out very tough even though I let it simmer on low heat for almost an hour and a half hoping it would get tender from the time. I modified the sauce with some garlic, mushrooms, and a couple of tbsp of brown sugar.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Great recipe! I double it and make it in a 9 x 13 cake pan. You can short cut it with 2 can carrots and 8 servings mashed potato flakes too!

Best Ziti Ever

I made this recipe twice...once with spaghetti sauce and it was good. The second time I made it with Bertollis Red Wine Marinara Sauce. I also didnt precook the noodles I just added 3/4 cup water - and we still had the BEST Ziti Ever! And yess it does make alot...about 18 servings! But it reheats well.

Very tasty marinate, I would use this recipe again. I only marinated for 12 hour next time I will try and marinate for 24 hours to get a deeper flavor.

Country Green Beans

I used green beans right from the garden. I also omitted the ham and used bacon. I fried up four piece of bacon and added then last as so they would not get soggy. For a dash of flavor I added a 1-teaspoon of lemon pepper.

Pull-Apart Bacon Bread

My children love this bread. I use bagged cheese. Use a little flour on your hands when placing the bread into the pan so it will not stick as much. Definitely a keeper recipe.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

These are the best tasting lemon bars I have ever made. Single the recipe on the crust and double the recipe on the filling. For a little more boost of lemon flavor I added one teaspoon of lemon flavoring. I only used lemon juice from a bottle.

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

I have made these several times in the last month and they are the best oatmeal cookies I have ever made. I use dark brown sugar and dark chocolate chips to give them a slightly richer flavor. Wonderful!
