Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
soooo good. I've been looking for a banana bread recipe since my grandma passed away... she never wrote down her recipes. Like many, I subbed oil for the butter and halved brown and white sugar in the batter. I omitted the topping and used walnuts instead. I'm going to make this into mini loafs next time.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
Very good. Muffin was moist, and not too sweet. I followed the recipe exactly, except that I added a little extra milk and a spoonful of sour cream because the batter was a bit thick for my likening. I also used 2 cups of blueberries. The topping could have been halved, I had way too much left over. Other than that... YUMMY!

Cream Peas

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
I made this for Easter dinner, since my husband was raised on creamed peas and carrots. I just added carrots and everyone, including his mother, was asking me for the recipe. I actually was able to make this before everyone got there then reheat it before serving.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
This was a very pleasant surprise. I was looking for a cabbage roll recipe that was easier and didn't require me getting my fingers burned or ripping cabbage to roll it. This recipe did the trick very very well. It's easy to make and in fact, my husband made it once for me and he even commented how easy it was. I was a bit more aggressive with the salt and this does make a LOT of food which is fine, since it reaheated well too.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
This was a great recipe. It was easy to make and even easier to eat! I did add about a 1/4 tsp nutmeg to it but that was all it needed. Very moist and smelled great in the oven. I actually made 4 loaves and froze 3. When I unpacked them a couple of months later, they were just as tasty.

just ok. i thought we would love it because we are pepperoni pizza lovers, but it was too much bread for us. probably won't make again - I'd rather putt he effort into a pepperoni pizza

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
Made exactaly as is except used frozen (I picked them fresh this past summer) blueberries. Really good and not too many ingriedents. I did have to keep it in the fridge because the berries oozed out when cut warm. Maybe next time I'll sprinkle the cornstarch on the crust layer, before I add the blueberries. Will make again! :)

I feel that is too unhealthy, but my husband, sister and brother request it all the time. I think it's more of a comfort food or a side dish, not a main-course

American Lasagna

I made it as-is and loved it. Hubby did not. We figured out it was the ricotta cheese, so I halved the amount and replaced it with mozzerella. Plus I have to puree the tomatoes so there are no chunks, but he loved it the second time!

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
Absolutely perfect! I was a little concerned about the pre-seasoning; that it wouldn't have enough flavor, but everything turned out perfect in the end. I did simmer the sauce on low the entire time the ribs were cooking and it thickened up quite nicely. No changes were made at all. Good Job!
