Great chili recipe, we kick up the spicyness, but we like to eat and sweat.

French Dip Sandwiches

Great taste super easy to make. I always make the night before, slice it when it is cold the next day then stick it back in the crock pot. We made huge sandwiches on some fresh baguettes I made--they were gone! Thanks

Allie's Mushroom Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
A better version of this good basic recipe: 1. use naan bread insetad of pizza crust. this way you can feed however many you like, from 1 to 10! 2. use white truffle oil or garlic olive oil instead of the olive/sesame combo. 3. put some garlic salt and pepper on top. 4. after the 5 or so minutes it takes to finish this, drizzle a tiny bit more truffle oil and a little more garlic salt. a delicious, simple, quick fix for a light meal!

Mondi's Super Simple Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
Reviewers are right, this smells wonderful while baking. I didn't have any lemon but that sounded like a nice addition so I did add some lemon pepper along with the garlic salt. I also added a little extra butter and spooned it back over the chicken when it was finished. As long as you know how to improvise and add spices, this is a good starter recipe.

Wonderful. It reminded my husband of fall time meals his mom made. I used sliced pork loin and didn't include the pecans. Will put this on the list for every fall!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
I browned the roast in olive oil after seasoning all sides with onion powder, garlic salt, lots of fresh ground black pepper and a little cayenne pepper. I did not have onion soup mix so I added a little more onion powder. I then put it in the slow cooker with beef stock. I added potatoes, carrots and celery about 3 hours before it was done. I made some gravy with the stock after it was finished and it was super. Very good canvas for individualized tastes to take over!

This was yummy. I followed the directions really closely. I did add some chopped frsh basil and half&half. I will have to modify it a little next time so that it will be to my children's liking. They LOVE the canned tomato soup.

Pasta with Tomato and Bacon

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
Love this! My 3 year old loved it too. I added some more stewed tomatoes because it looked like it needed more. In the end it would have been fine with the original amount-but it still turned out great. I added some leftover hamburger too.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Great cake. I made the following changes: Halved the recipe and baked in 8in" sq for 37-40 min. I subbed strained organic greek yogurt for the sour cream and oats for the flour in the topping mixture (to make it extra-crunchy). I added in 1/2 cup mixed berries and it came out extremely moist/dense. Will make again.
