Grilled Stuffed Swordfish

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
This was fantastic! The only thing I changed was to mix honey in with the greens instead of lemon juice - that added a nice little sweet taste. I used the marinade on some chicken breasts as well since not everyone will eat seafood and that turned out pretty tasty too!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
I mashed up half the strawberries and put all of the ingredients in a pot. I just cooked it all together for about 10 minutes and poured it into a pie shell and it set quite nicely. I've made it a few times now. It's a hit at this house!

I really like this! I've made it a few times now. It's more of a wait than regular pancakes, but tastes so much better!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
I make a walnut graham cracker crust for this that goes with it so much better. I also don't cook it at such a high heat. I took another users advice and go for the 225 for 3 hours and 40 minutes. I don't add as much flour as suggested, I use 1/8 of a cup and that seams to go perfectly. I use chocolate to decorate while it is still warm so I remove the sides of the spring form before it is totally cool so the chocolate will melt the correct way. A water bath is highly suggested, I use a roaster pan and it works very well. I guess overall I love the basis that this recipe gives me and it keeps people asking for more and more. remember don't mix it too much and make sure your cheese is at room temp.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
This is the best Alfredo on the site that I have tried...so far... I did use part cream/part milk and I added parsley also. A little salt helps and a little (very little) but of nutmeg. I really liked to and so did the people I was feeding. I have to cut a star because I think it is better with less milk I used about 1 3/4 cup and not the whole amount. But overall it is the best so far, just needs a little bit of dressing up.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
I'm not a huge man of frosting and neither is my husband so going through and finding one that worked was a little bit hard. I changed mine a little bit, cut it in half to start and added more chocolate. I will have to say this is the best frosting recipe I have fond thus far and will be sticking to this one for more than a little while. Works well everyday or on days where we have people coming over... like today... thanks!

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This was fantastic! I read some reviews and took the advice to cook the potatoes in the broth beforehand. The potatoes were completely cooked after baking. And since I was using a frozen pie crust I made drop biscuits and just dolloped that on top for a crust. This recipe made two 9" pies!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
The overall cookie was excellent, the pudding made it very chewy. I like my chocolate chip cookies to be slightly salty to offset the sweet so if you're looking for that then this cookie is not for you. However, if you're a fan of sweet and chewy chocolate chip cookies then this is it!

Excellent recipe! The nutmeg and cinnamon gave the cookies an interesting flavor depth and this cookie is mellow enough to add extras to, like dried fruit (i added cranberries). I'll be making this one again for sure.

I love how I can add whatever I have to the base of the recipe. I have used M&M, toffee bits, walnuts... just to name a few :) It is sooo good... I do add a little vanilla though but that is just me :)

Crumb Topping for Pies

This is a very good recipe you can use it for so many other recipes. I used it on top of an Apple Pie instead of a standard crust top. It baked up really nice and was crunchy and made my pie look beautiful.

Never Fail Pie Crust II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
I was kind of skeptical on using a different pie crust recipe. I've been using my mom's recipe all my life. We're moving so my cook book is packed away so I figured I'd try this one. This is the BEST recipe I've ever used. I kept thinking when reading the recipe this is a lot of shortening and I've never heard of putting an egg or vinegar, but I ended up using the recipe exactly as posted and it was the flakiest best pie crust i've ever made. I was absolutely delighted with the results and this will now become my favorite crust. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

For year's I've used the recipe my grandmother passed down to me, but always felt like something was missing. I tried this recipe and it was very moist, good flavor and easy to make. Even my spouse stated he liked the taste on this one better. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Beer Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
I made this with a white cake mix as a trial run and it was amazing. I made one with a yellow cake mix for the guy next door and it also turned out really well... a very light fluffy cake if you don't put in the pudding... i had cake mix with pudding in it already and didn't want it to be too solid if i would have added more. I also made the glaze another member suggested and it was amazing on top...4 oz beer (1/2 cup) 1 1/2 tablespoons butter and sugar i put in a little more sugar though 2/3 cups because it was too thin otherwise.... thanks to the member that suggested the glaze and gave the ingredients!

I did the dough cycle in my bread machine and then baked this in the oven. It was excellent! I drizzled honey on the top before baking and it made it nice and sweet. The two of us ate the whole loaf in a day and a half!
