Parmesan Chicken I

I forgot the Parmesan cheese too, but nobody missed it. Not the best chicken and rice I have had, but well worth it for the ease of preperation. All in all a good recipe.

Potato and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
I used an egg slicer to slice the eggs and the potatoes, I also added polish sausage, next time I will try the ham. We believe that you need a meat with dinner. This is a super great recipe. Every one loved it.

Make Ahead Butter Balls

should have softened butter first, it did not incorperate, so they flattened a little, we had butter blobs instead of balls. They were very tasty.

I made this with salsa instead of tomatoes, and upped the cheese as per other reviewers. The kids ate it but no seconds, the adults on the other hand really liked it.

Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2005
I make the same thing, but I cheat. I buy a pre-made crust, pre-made alfredo sauce, cooked refridgerated chicken, and I even put some pre-cooked bacon on it too (just make sure you are not using the "flavored" bacon) mine is ready in about 15 minutes, the kids will not eat regular pizza anymore, just this.

I make this often, we love it. If I am more broke than usual I use turkey ham, it is not as good as the regular ham, but still very tasty.

Heath Bar Pie

My family could not believe I made this. It was so good. I could not tell you about left overs- there where none. The only change I made was I used a package of heath bar pieces instead of breaking my own.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
This was good, but I think I prefer the more traditional "yankee" style pot roast cooked in beef broth. My husband loved it. I very skeptical when in was cooking, but to my surprise it turned out better then expected. The changes I made - I added potatoes and carrots, 2 full cups of water, and used a 2 and half pound roast. Good think I did, too, because after adding the veggies my crock pot was nearly full, and I have a huge crock pot!

Fried Pork Chop

Watch these very carefully, mine took much less then 4 minutes to start to burn. I can't imagine that was enough time to cook all the way through so I also baked them in the oven for awhile afterwards.

Pink Fluff

oh my goodness is this stuff is sweet! i left out the pineapple. in my family ambrosia type salads of every variety have always been on the dinner table at any family gathering as a side dish. so i am very acustomed to have it as part of the "dinner" rather then dessert. But let me tell you, this one is a dessert. It was way way to sweet for me. thank you for the recipe, even though it didn't suit my personal tastes.

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
well even my absent mindedness couldn't mess up this recipe. it was awesome! i put in the oven as directed for 20 minutes. it didn't say whether to cover it or not so i left it uncovered. after twenty minutes the bread crumb topping had not browned how i would like it to, so i set it for another ten minutes. still not brown so i decided to flip on the broiler to give it that nice toasty brown top. well, i walked away and forgot about it. i burned tthe top! i was heart broken. i scooped off the burnt topping and hoped for the best, and it was awesome! so creamy and cheesy! and much less expensive the the four cheese type macaroni recipes. just a note, i cut the boiling time in half for the macaroni. good thing since i ended up baking it much longer the recipe called for. i can't wait for next time so i can have the toasty bread crumb topping, too!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
whew - i am stuffed! great recipe! the chuck roast i used was just over three pounds, but i followed the sauce recipe exactly. my husband said "if your going to review this recipe tell them i said it was kick*ss - really good". I cooked it on low for 8 hours, then when I returned the shredded beef back to the crock pot i cookd on medium for about 1/2 hour, uncovered. The meat was the most tender I have ever had. I barely had to poke with a fork for it to fall apart. I may experiment with differnt bbq sauce recipes next time to suit more to our personal tastes. I served with the "down home macaroni and cheese" recipe from this site.

Peaches and Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2003
Yum! Great recipe. So easy, too. I used ready made graham cracker crust (note - don't used the 2 extra servings size ready crust, the recipe won't fill it). I also used milk instead of water for the jello/pudding topping. I'd like to try this recipe with bananas or cherries or blueberries, too! I topped mine off with a dollop of cool whip. Fabulous summer dessert!
