Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed on May 28, 2008 by Amy C.
I love baked Macaroni and Cheese...but hate the box. I have a couple of recipes that I go back and forth between because they have different flavors, and this is one of them. I just love it...I make the recipe just as it is written, but perhaps get a little more cheese in because I'm eyeballing it. To me, this consistency is perfect. Old fashioned baked macaroni & Cheese has a lot of body to it and without the eggs in this recipe, it would be too gooey for me and too much the consistency of the box. It's a matter of personal preference. This recipe is just delicious.

Apple Dumplings with Rich Cinnamon Sauce

Reviewed on Jan. 13, 2008 by Amy C.
Let me tell you, this recipe is a **winner**. I'm from Ohio and there is a meat market where you can purchase the frozen dumplings and sauce to make at home and when my parents fly here (California) they bring them with...several packs because I've never seen a recipe that duplicates them. This is it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I feel like this is a taste of home.

Basic Pasta

Reviewed on Aug. 19, 2007 by Amy C.
I just made this recipe for the first time. I am an experienced pasta maker, using various machines, rollers etc. This is by far the easiest to handle and has an excellent flavor. I used a kitchen-aid to mix the dough, but did the final kneading by hand. I doubled it the first time I used it. I added 1 tablespoon of olive oil in place of some of the water as well. After kneading, I covered it in plastic wrap and let it rest for about 15 minutes. Awesome performance in the rollers, and cutters and a better recipe than the Kitchen-Aid manual which I have always found to be too dry no matter what I do. This is awesome and now my go to recipe.
