Blackened Tilapia with Secret Hobo Spices

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
I made this dish last night and it was great. I found a blackening seasoning in the store and tried that. I made chicken for the family and fish for me. Both came out crispy on the outside and very moist inside. There wasn't any pan juices, so I served with a rice pilaf. Will definately make again.

Garlic and Tomato Tilapia

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
Wow! This was a great and easy recipe that the whole family enjoyed. The kids are not to fond of fish, so I pounded some boneless skinless chicken breasts to about the thickness of the Tilapia. I cooked them at 350deg for 15min and then put sauce on and finished for another 15 min. For the sauce I used a 28oz can of chunky crushed tomatoes and the other ingredients(calculated for 5 servings). I also warmed sauce on stovetop to be sure it was heated through. Served with a pasta recipe from this site(Pasta Hot! Hot! Hot!). The family liked it so much, I have to make it again tonite. Definately a keeper. Thanks Zoya13!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
I made these last night and they were great. I tried baking them to be a little healthier, but there was some flour still left dry. So I deep-fried for about 2 min to crisp them up. Awesome recipe otherwise.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
I did this using a whole oven roaster. DELICIOUS! And I made chicken/corn/rivel soup with the leftover chicken (got 3 meals of that). This was so good I sent it on to some working friends. Thanks. Maureen

Grandma Jeanette's Amazing German Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2008
YUM, YUM, YUM! I doubled the recipe and kept eating it as it was cooking. DELICIOUS! I don't usually make recipes as they are printed - have to do my own thing - but I did this one exactly as printed. I really could have kept eating it all!! But I restrained myself - with great difficulty. Maureen

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
YUMMY! I just used equal parts Italian Seasoned breading and parmesian cheese - my husband actually loved these and he is NOT a zucchini eater, except when I doctor it up. It's a keeper.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
I'm so glad I found this recipe because I lost mine (my mother-in-laws) and this tastes exactly like hers - DELICIOUS! I did put in 1/2c oil and 1/2 c applesauce and 3/4 c. white sugar and 3/4 c. brown sugar but it still tasted exactly like hers. Thank you for submitting it - it's in the oven now but the batter was delish!

Apple Kielbasa Coins

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
I sauteed sliced onions first, browned the coins then followed the recipe as written. The onions were a nice addition and I liked that the kielbasa coins were slightly carmalized. I also made a larger batch to feed our family - using any extra juice like a 'gravy' for the rice I had as a side dish (green beans were the other side dish in case you're looking for complementary veggie to go with). It was very good, the whole family liked it and I would definately make it again. I would also make this as an appetizer. Thanks for a yummy recipe!

I have to agree with some of the other posts that these kindof taste like tootsie rolls, but I loved them. I dipped them in powdered sugar. They were a family hit.
