Corn Dogs

Reviewed on jul. 4, 2009 by SHUGRPOP
This didn't work out at all.. I tried to cut up the hot dogs and deep fry for mini corn dogs.. I froze the batter for 30 minutes, I dried off the hot dogs all the way and all I got was a huge mess. The batter and hot dogs seperated in the deep fryer and I had to scrape it out onto a plate.. looked more like a casserole.. not sure why it went so bad. :(

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed on jun. 30, 2009 by SHUGRPOP
Mine turned out PERFECT. I sliced up a stick of butter instead of shortening and since I do not have a pastry blender I used 2 butter knives to cut the butter into the flour, I also used wheat flour *same taste, much healthier*. I did not use ice water, just cool water and it worked out fine. After I had most of the water in I used my hands to mix it up and roll it out. Then after it was rolled out I did not fold it in half to get it in the dish, I carefully rolled it around my rolling pin and unrolled it over the dish, worked out GREAT!! I used it for a strawberry pie so I definately didn't need to add any sugar to it.

Fresh Strawberry Pie I

Reviewed on jun. 30, 2009 by SHUGRPOP
Quick and easy and turns out great! I did cut up my strawberries because if you do it like the recipe says you have a lot more gelatin than strawberry in your pie. AND I only made one pie and there still wasn't enough gelatin for it, I made out with what I had but could have used a little bit more. I also only used 3/4 cup of sugar and it is definately sweet enough. YUM~!
