Blue Cheese, Avocado, and Grape Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
YUMMY and EASY salad! I followed the directions exactly and it was REALLY tasty! Next time I think I will not use the shredded cheese to save some calories.

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
After reading some suggestions, I doubled the steak seasoning and halved the sugar. These turned out just "okay". I have had better mashed potatoes so these probably won't be in the regular rotation.

Campbell's® Swiss Vegetable Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
This turned out pretty good, but I am sure it is not the healthiest. I followed the directions exactly, but next time I think I will cut down on both the sour cream and swiss cheese, OR add another bag of veggies instead. Though extremely tasty, it was a little too creamy for our tastes.

Aw-some Cole Slaw

I used half mayo, and half sour cream, instead of the milk.

East Carolina Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I will give it three stars since I changed a couple of things. I put a can of tomato sauce in. I skipped the butter. I only used a fourth of a cup or less of cider vinegar.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

VERY TASTY! An excellent dip. I followed the directions exactly and took it to a tailgate serving it with pretzel crisps, lime tortilla chips and cellery. Everyone loved it and I passed out the recipe several times.

I halved the brown sugar as some had suggested and this turned out FABULOUS! A great dish to bring to Thanksgiving dinner! THANKS for sharing!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
Awesome! While a self-proclaimed Cookie Monster, I'm not a big fan oatmeal cookies, I sampled one to make sure they were edible. They were so edible that I had 2 more. :O) I followed the recipe to the letter EXCEPT I had substituted pumpkin spice for the ground cloves since I didn't have any of those on hand.

Classic Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
This is a good basic salad, best with fresh kalamata or nicoise olives instead of canned olives. I have used both dressing made from Italian Dressing Mix from this site and a homemade sweet balsamic dressing with good results.

Hopi Corn Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
This is a really good starting recipe, but it needs stuff! I added a lot of garlic extra chili powder, cayenne pepper, dried chili flakes, and cumin. I also added veggies, green beans, peas and corn to make it go farther and have more veggie servings. I also like a little more broth so I added an extra can of beef broth.

Fuss Free Hot Cranberry Tea

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
I cut the recipe in half and I still had a lot of fuss free cranberry tea! Taking another reviewer's suggestion I added some Fireball Schnapps to liven up the adult drinks a bit. This would be a great addition to an apre ski gathering!

Nutmeg Cake

This cake was moist and delicious, with the flavor of the freshly grated nutmeg that I used shining through. The caramel icing was the perfect complement to this pleasant change to a traditional spice cake.

Restaurant Style Beef and Broccoli

Sometimes we find this type of meal too salty but, using low sodium soy sauce, this was excellent! I must come to terms with the fact that I just do not like round steak, however, and will use chicken next time around. Quick and simple, this is a great busy weeknight meal.
