Banana Banana Bread

I was not at all impressed with this bread. Did not have much taste to it. Maybe it needed more sugar? I don't even know. Obviously a lot of others liked it. I'll have to stick to my EBNB recipe that I got off here.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

I only give 4 stars because I used bottled poppyseed dressing instead of making my own to save some time. But this salad was fabulous! My fiance who doesn't even care for "fruity" salads loved it and said I should make it again. A keeper for sure!

Caramelized Onion and Gorgonzola Pizza

This was very tasty! I halfed the gorgonzola per some suggestions and brushed the crust with a little bit of olive oil before adding the onions and cheese. Next time, instead of eating this pizza for dinner (because there will definitely be a NEXT TIME), I think I will cut it into small squares and serve it as an appetizer or snack for a party! Really Good!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

This soup is delicious! I definitely recommend using kale instead of spinach, as many have suggested. Also, I like to use fat free half and half and add it just before serving. This recipe is wonderful and better than the chain's soup!

Cheese Biscuits I

This is a standard with fried ham or Autumn Spiced Ham Steaks and applesauce. There are never any leftovers. I use my small cookie scoop to make bite-sized biscuits, and make them on my pizza stone. It's an incredibly easy quick bread for dinner, and the results are just as good cold for breakfast (if they last that long) as they were hot for dinner.

FANTASTIC!!!! Make sure to use cocoa powder and don't try to use bakers squares. And make sure you temper the eggs before you add them to the pie! :D

Lebanese-Style Red Lentil Soup

Very good! I decided not to puree the soup because the texture reminded me of split pea soup, which we like. If I make it again, though, I think that I would puree it per directions. The flavor is very lemony, which we liked, but I would caution you to use less if you do not like a strong lemon flavor.

Butternut Squash with Onions and Pecans

Spectacular! Made exactly as directed this recipe is perfect! It is a unique way to cook butternut squash, and it was a wonderful complement to herbed pork roast from this site. For those concerned about peeling a squash, I find that cutting a one inch piece from the top and bottom of the squash for stability makes it very easy to use a serrated vegetable peeler for the task.

Herbed Pork Roast

Moist and superbly flavored, this pork roast was a huge hit at my house. I rubbed the roast with a small amount of olive oil to help the herbs adhere to it and refrigerated it overnight. Accompanied by Butternut Squash with Onions and Pecans from this site, fresh green beans and homemade applesauce, this was a meal I would enjoy serving to guests. Leftover roast was delicious lightly warmed, topped with applesauce, and served on focaccia bread. I almost want to make this again just for the sandwiches!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

The whole family liked this but wasn't wow'd. I added 1/2 cup red wine as suggested. I also added a bit of italian seasoning. Still didn't seem seasoned enough. I think that 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp of worcestershire is not enough salt for 2 lbs of meat and vegetables.

This was delicious! I ended up doubling the recipe because of how much macaroni I had on hand. I searved it to my inlaws for some confort food and they loved it! I even froze the extra and we had it last week. My only complaint is that I wish I had followed other's advice and used less bread crumbs.

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

This recipe was amazing! I'm used to famous Mackinaw Island peanut butter fudge and didn't think anything could come close to it, but this did! I followed the recipe and just boiled the mixture for 5 minutes, even though I have candy thermometer. I premixed the butter and peanut butter in my mixer and mixed it all together. Beware, it made a 9x13 pan of fudge. For my husband and I, I thought this was more than we could eat. However, when I started cutting up about half the pan for us to take into our works, he said "You're giving it all away!!!!", even though there was still half a pan left. I guess he liked it! :)

Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Thumbs up on this. Had to sub out a few things to what was on hand. Used some wheat germ and flax meal. Both dogs loved it. I would suggest freezing little baggies of them, and use them as needed small bags at a time---for without preservatives they will most likely get stale or moldy I would imagine.

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Wow, was this delicious! I had to make substitutions due to what I had in the house. I used v-8 juice and used canned diced tomatoes and put them in the blender. And I had to use some cream cheese and a teaspoon of flour to thicken-but I loved it!
