Tortellini Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I've made this so many times and it's unbelievably good. I've taken leftovers to work (it makes a LOT) and my coworkers are always happy :-) I don't change a thing...it's great as is! edit...I fibbed a little! I forgot that I've tried this using turkey italian sausage and it's still delicious, flavorful and a hair lighter in fat

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Uhhhhhhhh-mazing bread! My husband hates pumpkin everything-until he tried this bread. When I made it, I realized I didn't have any cloves... but I did have pumpkin pie spice. I used 1.5 tsp of pumpkin pie spice, and added another 1/4 tsp of cinnamon for good measure. Turned out great!

Hard to find citron, was able to double up on the raisins. Was quickly devoured and everyone loved it. I will make this again as soon as I find some citron to try it with. Will add to my regular routine in making delicious breads!!! :)

This was very good and we will make these again. I would recommend a little more salt as I didn't add enough and I left out the cumin, tho (not a fan of it) - they were great with Wildflower Honey! My husband ate them with Blue Cheese dressing.

Really really good. Don't change the proportions. The consistency was strange for spreading (it didn't spread as well as I'd like)but it was delicious! Used for an ice cream cake.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Very flaky and light crust, also easy to repair if you accidentaly tear it while putting into pie pan. I used this pie crust recipe with the Apple Pie by Grandma Ople found on this website. The combination of these two recipes is fantastic. Makes it look and taste like it came from a restaurant or store that makes them all the time. For those who are having trouble with enough crust, roll the crust mixture between two sheets of wax paper with a rolling pin. Then apply it to the pie pan. This will yield enough for two pie pan bottoms and two lattice tops. Depending on how thin you roll it you may have leftovers. This pie crust once baked is quite strong and will not leak any pie filling before it is ready to be eaten. So you don't have to make the crust on pie so thick on the bottom.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Very, Very delicious! I did add some cinnamon as other readers suggested and some apple pie spice. Also I used Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust from this site with this recipe. It was a delicious combination. It was fabulously delicious and gone almost as soon as it came out of the oven. I definitely will make this again.

Easy Lemon Cake Cookies with Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
AWESOME RECIPE!!! My first time I followed recipe and added a little bit more lemon extract to cookie batter and extra lemon extract to icing (I love lemon). Cookies came out great gone within a day. I tried a variation on the recipe after reading reviews, but the icing came out too thick. Strongly recommend original recipes directions for icing as it will thicken and you can keep layering icing on top of cookie to desired thickness.
