Byrdhouse Blistered Cherry Tomatoes

I must have made these 10 times already! Always looking for ways to use tomatoes. This is fantastic. Last time I added some crumbled gorgonzola cheese. Next time I'm adding some capers. Yum. Good job as always Sunnyshine!

Mushroom and Mascarpone Ravioli

This recipe is amazing. To keep the ravs from coming apart while cooking use a pastry wheel to seal the edges and when you drop these in the boiling water immediatly lower the boil to a simmer. I make a roasted red pepper alfredo sauce to go with these and I use portabella mushrooms. Fantastic!

McCormick's Beer Can Chicken

I make this using the McCormicks rottiserie chicken spice in a jar located in the spice isle. I also put half a lemon in the neck cavity to trap the vapors.

Semmelknoedel (Bread Dumplings)

New Potatoes with Caper Sauce

I love capers and I'm always looking for something new to do with potatoes so when I saw this recipe I said BINGO! Boy this is a jackpot recipe. This will be a regular on my menu for sure!

Potato Chips

I could not wait to make these because I did'nt believe they would be any good. Boy was I wrong! I cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of my microwave {so I could make alot}and followed recipe. You will have to cook them longer than stated though.I served with ranch dip,and salted one batch,cajun seasoned one batch,and sprinkled dry ranch on another. Pretty good! Hubby was as surprised as I was.

Nutella ™ Cheesecake

I have to say I didnt make this as per recipe. I used 2 creamed cheese, 1 jar of nutella,1 tsp vanilla,and 1 egg. I put this in a pre made chocolate crust and baked it at 350 for 30 minutes. Put in fridge for 7 hours. Before serving I topped it off with whipped cream and chopped hazelnuts. It was supurb. My guests loved it.I will make it this way again.

Artichokes

This is just a little heads up for some folks who never made and or eaten artichokes whole like this before. I read through some of the reviews and noticed that some were trying to eat the whole leaf. what you do is remove a leaf, dip in butter or sauce and scrape the fleshy part off with your teeth. Discard the rest of the leaf.I hope this helped.

Panettone Bread Pudding with Spiced Orange Sauce

This recipe is so wonderful. Panettone certainly is the perfect bread for bread pudding. I also use it Christmas morning to make french toast with our leftover egg nog.

Nut Rolls

I just finished making a batch of these nut rolls and they turned out wonderful! This has to be the easiest dough I ever worked with.After I rolled them I put them on a cookie sheet and flattened them slightly. I brushed with beated egg white and sprinkled with sugar which gave these nutrolls a crunchy top.I only baked a few at a time on one cookie sheet in the middle of oven for exactly 30 minutes and they were perfect. Thanks Karen for a great recipe!

Candied Yams

With all the fancy sweet potato recipes out there this is the one I make every year because it's the way my mom made them and it reminds me of her.However I don't bake these.I melt the butter in a large skillet,add brown sugar and cook till bubbles form. Add DRAINED sweet potatoes turn to coat and cook uncovered medium heat turning every few minutes till heated through.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

This was a good concept but I added other ingredients to make it more to our taste. I added 2 tsp cinnamon,1 tsp nutmeg, some chopped pecans and I poured more than half of the liquid on the apples and the rest on the crust. I found I needed to bake this a little longer than the recipe calls for. 10 minutes or so. It turns out wonderful.Serve with vanilla ice cream.This is a keeper.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

I am going to make this stuffing recipe for Thanksgiving. I am also making my turkey on the grill using the beer can method. This leaves my oven free for pie and biscuit making. Who needs a gourmet kitchen!!!!
