About me:
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 3 years (it will be in 2006), and we have a gorgeous baby girl who was born on her daddy's birthday in 2005. I enjoy cooking, I always have. I grew up in a single parent family and would try to help my Mom out as much as possible, since she worked so hard for us. My little sister is 9 years younger than I am, so it was mainly either myself, or my Mom who did the cooking. My husband and I enjoy camping and hiking on the North Shore of Lake Superior in the Spring and Fall. This year will be different, as we now have our daughter. I have 3 wonderful step children (ages 20,17,14) that I am so happy to be a part of their lives, and they apart of mine.

About me: I am a happily married mom of 2 great kids. I love cooking and baking, although my family of picky eaters makes it a challenge sometimes!

Insalata Tricolore

Reviewed on Jul. 24, 2008 by Auntie D in MN
This salad is DIVINE! Caprese salad has always been my favorite salad, but the addition of creamy avocado slices, puts this over the moon. The recipe does not call for basil, but I still like to add some basil strips to my salad. Also, to make this worth it, invest in quality ingredients-you won't be sorry.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed on Jul. 24, 2008 by Auntie D in MN
These were good pork chops, but not out of this world. For the amount of time for prep and cooking and the number of dirty dishes, I was expecting WOW results. It just isn't worth the work, when I can make better tasting pork chops in less time and effort.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed on Jul. 24, 2008 by Auntie D in MN
These were only OK in my opinion. I prefer a more tart lemon bar, and found these much too sweet. I think the proportion of crust to filling is off too. While the crust is delicious, there needs to be more filling. I will look for another recipe that has a tart filling, but may use the crust from this one.
