About me:
Basically I grew up poor and my parents worked and went to school at the same time for a few years, so at a young age I had to take care of my younger siblings during the day and have dinner ready for the family in the evening, working with very little food options. But I won over their taste buds with some very creative recipes and I kept cooking till I moved out. My two grandmas and my grandpa each liked to cook and passed down thier styles and recipes to me. I am so grateful for my upbringing and my grandparents tutelage. I wouldn't be half the cook I am today if it weren't for those influences.

Savory Herb Rice

This was a great side dish for our pork chops tonight. I will definitely be making this again. I used fresh onion instead of dried because I don't have any and accidentally added garlic powder but how could that be wrong? In the future I will be making it with brown rice.

Tartar Sauce IV

I made Tartar Sauce I the other day and gave it five stars even tho I made some changes. Now today looking at other recipes (because I'm going to make it again) I found that the changes I made match this recipe almost exactly. So anyway, this recipe is a hit in my house.

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

We loved this recipe. I prepared my potatoes with sour cream and left out the green peppers because my boyfriend doesn't like them. I also used colby/cheddar cheese crumbles instead of shredded and it was so good. My 10 month old son even gobbled these up!
