World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This was my first attemp at lasagna from SCRATCH! I was mostly pleased with the outcome. The taste was great but it was kind of a soupy mess even after resting for 20 minutes. I even used dry noodles! I will tweek the sauce so as not to have lasanga stew next time.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I was very pleased with how this turned out. I am usually put off by stuffing because the flavor is always so intense and overpowering. This stuffing, however, had a very nice flavor that was not overpowering at all. I followed the recipe exactly except used chopped carrots instead of mushrooms otherwise my family wouldn't have touched it!! Great recipe! Thanks!

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I was very please with this recipe. I used an 8 lb turkey breast and preped the turkey as stated then I stuffed it into a large ziplock freezer bag and poured the rest of teh rosemary mixture into the bag and sealed it. I let it marinade over night. Then I cooked it in my slow cooker for 2 hours on high then 4 hours on low. It was so moist and had a very nice mild flavor that didn't over power. his was a huge hit with my whole family. Thanks for a great recipe!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I made a couple chages to this recipe after tasting it an hour into simmering. I thought it was tasting way too tomatoey so I added 2 TBLS brown sugar and 2 tsp itailan style seasoning. That did the trick. So the changes I made from the beginning were: I used brown surgar instead of white. I pureed the tomatoes, I didn't have tomatoe paste so I used an 8 oz can of roasted garlic tomatoe sauce and 3 TBLS of oats that I blended with the tomatoes to thicken the sauce. I followed the meatballs exactly and they had such a great aroma but kind of lacked in taste. I will play around with more spices the next time I make this. As written this recipe is a 3 or 4, with the changes I made I would give it 5 stars.

Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
The crust was very hard, hard to cut, hard to chew. The cheesecake was not very chocolatey. I will try this one again b/c I think it has potential. I will put nuts on the crust, possibly into the crust as well. I will reserve the carmel for topping only. And lastly, I will double if not triple the amount of chocolate.
