Bread Pudding Apple Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
This was pretty good.. a little dry so I recommend adding a little water or something to moisten it up. Tasted very different from plain apple pie so it puts a nice twist on the every day apple pie.

Maple Oat Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
YUM! YUM! Ok, I did make one "change"...maybe 2? FIRST I thought I would replace 1/2 the oats with steel cut oats for more "texture"? It WORKED. SECOND I used my Kitchen-Aid mixer to mix this up. I actually ended up with 2 loaves of bread. My neighbor RAVED about this bread and it is SO SO good...the maple flavor just shines but does not overtake. This bread has just the right amount of "chewy, texture, crust"....in a word? PERFECT! MANY THANKS FOR SHARING THIS! It's going in my forever recipe box.

Banana Flips

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
How to review this masterpiece? Hmmmm....Well FIRST it's a 10 star recipe! I have made this twice now WITH the advice of using powdered sugar instead of granular. AND....I had an old banana and added that to the cake for kicks & giggles (will ALWAYS do that!). Now for the "filling"...I could NOT find any banana extract on the day I was to make this SO I purchased some Loran's Banana Cream Oil...yes the kind used for candy making...BUT you CAN add it to other things as well. I put in a DROP at a time just until I got a very "light" banana flavor and was I glad I did...it balanced out the MEGA MOIST banana cake with the not so "sweet" filling. Am I gushing? :-) It's a GREAT recipe and something different to do with an old banana or two! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS...really!

Buttermilk Chocolate Cake with Fudge Icing

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
I am back for my second baking of this recipe. YUMMY.....ONE THING....everyone who said add MORE cocoa? They are SPOT ON. With added cocoa and cutting the recipe in half because there are only 2 of us....it's a KEEPER and a WINNER. By the way....1/2 a recipe makes a dozen cupcakes and may I suggest ganache for frosting? YUMMY GOOD! THANKS for posting this.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
I added buttermilk and lots of extra cinnamon. I also cinnamon and sugar'd the sides of the muffin tins, a lot of extra work, but very worth it. I also pan fried the apples a little to make them a little soft so they wouldn't be so crunch. These muffins were delicious and a huge hit with my dad, my 2 year olds and my dad.

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

This was just okay. It really needed to marianate overnight, but I didn't since it didn't call for it. I like marianades to cover the salmon taste and this didn't at all.

This is so good. Make sure you boil it for 10 minutes or more til golden. Also, just sprinkle chocolate chips over, they will melt, then spread. I made this for Mother's Day gifts.

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
This was good... next time I will just put some sausage in with the red sauce rather than stuffing it into manicotti. Then I will pour the meat sauce over the stuff manicotti and not make the white sauce. It was tasty, but not worth the extra trouble or calories.

Easy Sugar Cookies

The ease of this recipe to make makes me want to make them every night... not to mention that they are so delicious they are my new favorite kind of cookie. I did do one thing a little different... after rolling the dough into balls I rolled them around in sugar.. made them so beautiful. Thanks for the recipe.

Taking into account what many others had said...I added some extra sugar and a tad extra vanilla and some butter extract...I was VERY generous with the powdered sugar. VERY GOOD...VERY SUPER SIMPLE! I made 1/2 a recipe for hubby for a "weekend afternoon snack". BIG hit with husband and a no muss/fuss treat! MANY THANK for posting this...5 STARS all the way...just remember to DOLL UP if you want some extra flavor.

I have to rate this a 5 star with only one change, 1/4 cup honey instead of 1/2. I know if I would've used 1/4, this recipe could be a 6 star. It is very easy and very delicious.
