My family has been making these for a lot of years. But we use pizza sauce and call them Pizza Burgers. They are so great! I loved the bbq so we have a new and modern take on an old family classic. Thank you!

Cherry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Scaled back the butter, added some cinnamon and vanilla like suggested, and this still wasn't quite what I wanted. The bread was very dense and spongy instead of fluffy like I'd expected. Overall it wasn't terrible but wasn't anything to write home about either.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
My husband was not too sure if he'd like this cause the only pot pie he'd ever had was the frozen kind :P I did tweak this a bit to kick up the flavor, and followed the suggestion to bake the bottom crust to reduce soggyness. In all I added about 3 cloves finely minced garlic, 1/2 tsp rosemary, 1 tsp black pepper, and one onion cut up along with the canned veggies and chicken soup. It took about 20 minutes longer than anticipated to bake, but the result was FANTASTIC! My husband absolutly loved it and I think next time I make it I'll at a little cheddar cheese in with the veggies and soup!

I followed hreed's suggestion and browned the kielbasa and potatos seperately before adding the the rest of the ingrediants to prevent "mushyness" and it came out good. My husband and father-in-law loved it, I wasn't quite as impressed. I'll probably make again as a fall back.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
I did not love this frosting. The taste was pretty good, but I actually would have preferred more of the cream cheese taste and less of the butter. The biggest problem I had was the frosting LITERALLY ran right off the cake as soon as it reached room temperature. This caused the top layer of cake to slide about three inches to the right. Once re-refrigerated, it was fine and hardened right up. Sorry, this one just wasn't for me.

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
Great marinade! I didn't add as much sugar(less than half)and had to leave out the hot stuff. I also threw in some green onion. I can't decide which way I like better,as a stir-fry, or on the grill. It's awesome both ways!

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
My neighbor had given us some fresh zucchini from his garden, I tried this recipe and loved it! I did however do what the Japanese steakhoses do, and put a few "dollops" of butter on top, and I didn't have any sesame seeds, so I had to do without those. But it definately reminded me of eating at the japanese steakhouse...YUMMY!

Steak Burritos

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
This is a really versatile recipe! I made tacos instead of burritos, because that's what I had in the house. I had a small roast sitting in my fridge, and I wanted to try something new with it.(tired of the same old pot roast and potatoes!)I sliced it in half horizontally, so ended up with two pretty thick "steaks". I also didn't have the chile peppers, but salsa seemed to work fine. I was worried that it might come out too salty, as some reviewed,so I put one packet of seasoning in at the beginning of cooking, and after shredding it and tasting,I ended up adding another half a pack. Husband liked it alot, so I'll definitely make this again. I'm thinking this might be fun food for a crowd, like a build your own taco kind of thing.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
Oh yea! This one is a keeper! Lots of flavor, has that little kick at the end from the cayenne. Mom and sister thought it was a little too much of a kick, but others thought it was perfect. Depending on the crowd, I may cut back cayenne, but otherwise....YUMMMYY!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
It's a good day when both husband AND child like a new recipe. This was a success for me. I had to make my own taco seasoning(chili powder, cumin, garlic and onion powder, salt and paprika).I also used 2% colby/jack, since it was all I had. It came out beautifully. Thanks!
