About me:
I'm more of an intuitive cook, putting together components according to what's in the cupboard. I love Pam Anderson's approach. Altho I now live about 5 mi. from where I was born, in between I lived in Germany, Belgium, Japan and spent a lot of time in England and the UAE. I didn't do a lot of classes while overseas but I picked up enough recipes for fun.

Peppermint Bark

Reviewed on Dec. 1, 2009 by Laura
Followed the instructions to a tee and it tastes wonderful! The white and milk chocolate still seem to separate when cutting but I don't mind. When I make again I'll try using a warm knife to cut into the bark. I'll be using this recipe for holiday gifts to my work clients. Thank you!

Kentucky Hot Brown

Reviewed on Nov. 30, 2009 by Darla O
Not long ago we watched one of those travel/food shows on t.v. and the Brown Hotel's Hot Brown was featured. At the time we thought it looked interesting. Then just the other day I was browsing AR for recipes that would use up some of our leftover Thanksgiving turkey when I stumbled across this recipe. Made this today and we all loved it! Definitely a do-over! I followed recipe exactly for this first attempt; decided next time (and there will be many next times) that we'd like even more mushrooms (although I know they weren't part of the Brown Hotel's version, they are yummy). I also like the idea of trying more/other cheeses (romano, cheddar). Great recipe and very appreciative you shared it here!

Hummus III

Reviewed on Nov. 18, 2009 by Laurie S.
Just like grandma used to make! I needed to add water to get the proper consistency. Don't skimp...use good quality tahini and fresh lemon juice. Thanks for sharing!
