Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
This is definately 5 star rating, great recipe, I used classico five cheese alfredo and classico pesto,I used a little less pesto because of the kids, I was just not sure if they would like it. I added mushrooms and 1/2 bag of spinach. I used al dente tri coloured noodles. Made this for the family they all thoroughly enjoyed it.!!

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
This was a great sauce. I got a lot of compliments on it. the only thing that i changed was that i added about a tsp on orange peel to give it a little kick.

Pasta e Olio

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
This was fantastic! I however added a lot more garlic than the recipe called for. I also added a handfull of whole garlic cloves. It took about 7 minutes longer to cook with the whole garlic cloves. Next time i make this i will also try to add some fresh steamed veggies to the mix!

Slow Cooker Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This really turned out aweful. I had high hopes after reading other reviews, but i found it just spicey and bland. My family wouldn't eat it, so i ended up adding a jar of salsa, corn, and black beans to make it more of a taco soup dish that i served with sprinked cheese and sour cream (tortillas on the side) That came out pretty good, and has since been requested again.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
These were great the flavour was so good, the only change I made was I used fresh onions also sauted, I prepared these a day ahead, covered in the fridge ready to just go in the oven, I also brushed them lightly with melted butter to stop them drying out as another reviewer mentioned, I had a fair bit of juice on the oven tray as they were cooking so I just carefully tipped it out and popped them back in the oven, I will be making these again I had rave reviews.

Crescent-Wrapped Brie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Oh my god this is a great recipe. It was so simple and quick. My guests loved it. My only warning ti make sure that the seams on your dough are sealed well. I had a little leakage from one of them, other than that it was perfect.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This stuffing turned out great. The only thing that i would change is the amount of sausage that was used. It has good flavor, but it was a little to meaty for my tastes. Next time i will also add more apple to the mix. It gives it a little bit of a sweeter flavor.

Easy Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I don't like ham, but this was great. It was so easy and simple. The ham came out so tender that it just fell off of the bone when i tried to get it out of the slow cooker. My ham was a little large for my pot, so i justed basted it with the juices every few hours to keep it moist. This will definately be my ham recipe for all of my family get togethers.

Pastry for Single-Crust Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
My biggest complaint with this recipe, is that it doesn't state how long to bake it. The recipe i was using just said use a baked pie crust. I baked mine at 450 degrees for 12 minutes and turned out okay.

Double Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This pie came out really well. It is very rich, and very sweet. I would recommend cutting back on the sugar just a little. Other than that it was great.

New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Overall hte cheesecake came out pretty good, and everyone liked it. I had a hard time with the crust when i baked it, and i prefer a grahm cracker crust instead of what is used here. The filling tasted good, but mine was a little runny in the very center. I will make again, but with differen crust, and a few more minute in the oven. I also find it helpful to but a pan full of water under the cheesecake in the oven as it cooks. It helps with the cracking.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This turkey came out pretty good. My only complaint was mine was finished cooking in only 3 hours (and it was stuffed). I ended up taking it out of the oven, and putting it back in later. Otherwise it came out pretty good.

French Onion Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I ended up making this recipe twice. The first time i added the milk, and it came out a little thinner than i would have liked. The second time i made it I cut the milk out completely, and i loved it. It was a huge hit at my Chirstmas party.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
This turned out really well. I like the flavor and texture. Next time i make it i will use vitamin D milk instead of skim milk. I think that would help to make it a little thicker. I will definately make this again.
