Married with four teenage boys.I like Michigan but, loved growing up in California. My sister still lives in California (Bay Area) and I love to go back and see what's new. Food choices in Michigan are very limited. It's hard to find the "Mom and Pop" places that offer something unique and tasty that you MUST go back for or recommend.If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I really don't care for the the "chain" resturants. (sp?).

Easy Pesto

Very easy to make and tasty. I added more garlic, but I always do. Thanks to those for the tip on just using a dry skillet to toast the almonds. Will use this recipe many more times. Thanks!

Basil Pesto Bread Rounds

Guests really enjoyed this app! We made out own pesto sauce (Easy Pesto from this site) and toasted the bread earlier in the day. Very easy and super yummy!

Sangria! Sangria!

We made a double batch for our party and wished we had made even more. It went in a flash! We added pineapple chunks, pineapple juice, a splash of cherry juice, and some cherry brandy. An awesome drink! Thanks!!
