Just like grandma used to make! I needed to add water to get the proper consistency. Don't skimp...use good quality tahini and fresh lemon juice. Thanks for sharing!

Lemon Lu Lu Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
This was very good. I added poppy seeds to the cake batter. I wonder about the 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice in the glaze, though. It seemed like an awful lot of liquid to me. I used 1 cup of lemon juice and it was pretty tart. Depends on taste, I guess.

Polish Style Lasagna

I made this last week with just the bottom layer of lasagna noodles because of issues with my water supply. My SO and my 1 year old thought it was amazing. I used homemade mashed potatoes. Definitely a keeper.

This was delicious! Made it last night and every kid - and hubby - said, "Good soup!" (and I make a LOT of soup) Creamy, delicious and very comforting.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Delicious! Turns a simple meal into a gourmet meal. I felt silly making homemade buns for sloppy joes, but I'm SO glad I did. These are excellent! I sprinkled a few sesame seeds on top before baking - cause I like 'em.

This stuff is fantastic! I'll never get the canned mix again. The salsa is a great addition and really lets you control the spiciness. We love spicy, so hot salsa and a little extra hot sauce made this delicious for us.

Easy Mashed Potato and Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I did not enjoy this dish very much at all by itself. I had already planned to serve with Spanish rice, re-fried beans, and a nice whopping dollop of sour cream. When all these came together in one bite, it was amazing. For the rice I used remainder of roasted veggies & salsa and just heated with leftover rice.

I browned cubed pork and threw everything into the crockpot. Served it over brown rice. Very good. When I made it the second time, I shredded the meat and served on buns, the kids ate it all!

Butter Beef

I haven't made it in the crockpot yet, just do it on the stove. Cook the meat, deglaze the pan with butter and mix in the soup mix. I mix it into the noodles. Have made it several times for both my family and the one I work for and everyone keeps asking to have it again.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
This bread was awesome. I used 1 pkt of maple & brown sugar instant oatmeal, which is all I had on hand. I also added approx. 1 C of chopped apple as we don't use chunky applesauce. I baked in a bundt cake pan and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Will ABSOLUTELY make again and again!

Vegetarian Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
This tasted wonderful. Like most, I used 1/2 - 1/2 ketchup and BBQ in the actual loaf. I only added a few tbsp of BBQ on top after 45 min and baked for another 15-20 min. Never set. I would recommend another binding agent. Maybe some mashed potatoes or flour? Not setting was my only qualm.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Very good. Not what I was looking for, but the SO and I still liked it. Made way too much; baked 1/2 right away, froze other 1/2. Perfect from freezer also. Would definitely use fried onions as topping if available in pantry. =)
