Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
Excellent, excellent, excellent! The flavor of the chicken was really great. I did use about two tablespoons of chopped, fresh cilantro instead of the oregano, and it gave it a really nice fresh zing to it. :) Next time, I may double or even triple the marinade/sauce because it was so good! Loved it, and will DEFINITELY make it again.

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
I had no problems with a flat loaf - s a matter of fact it rose right up to the top of my machine - waiting for it to 'bake' now - smells wonderful. Only thing I added was a "splash" of milk as it was kneading - it appeared a bit sticky without it.

Instead of the fresh lime juice; add 1/2 to 1 shot of Rose's Lime Juice. Great!

Halibut with Rice Wine

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
Fantastic! The sauce is so good. You can use it with so many different foods. Last night I served it with fresh Red Grouper right out of the Gulf of Mexico. OMG! Had a 1 1/4 lb filet between two of us. There may be a bite or two left. Served it like the picture on the main page. Fish/Rice/Asparagus. Yummy! Had to buy all the ingredients except Black Bean Sauce. It is the Mirin that really sets it off. Mirin is a sweeten Rice Wine(Sake).Took me 2 different stores to find it but it IS the key ingredient. Thank you for the great recipe.

I made this over the weekend and it tasted good - but I needed to add another cup of water. The 1 1/8 made a "mealy" looking dough so I added the water and restarted the cycle. Turned out good.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

This is a great Recipe as is. However, you can stuff the chicken with any type of fruit. Apples, grapefruit, oranges, lemons, onions etc..Garlic and butter under the skin is always good.Roasting this on the grill is always incredible. If you use a gas grill with 3 burners go Medium, off, Medium. Check temperture to keep it around 350-375 you will love it.

Made these last night - Awesome!!! Only added a bit more salt based on previous comments and put them in my muffin tins. Great rolls especially when the bread machine does most of the work. Weekly baking on my menu now!

Just got done making this. I made this as written for me and my SO and he absolutely LOVED it. He usually says well I like it but it needs this he actually said I can't say anything. Now I know it sounds weird but I made it with some creamed corn and the sweet and salty thing was great. I gave it a 5 because the ONE thing I did change only because I bought the wrong oil, was i used vegetable oil. I can only imagine how good it is with olive oil.

I'm getting ready to make it now. I used to love it growing up but we never served it on a "shingle" altho my dad (ex-Navy_ made sure to tell us the SOS story - LOL. My mom served it on mashed potatoes and OMG it is to die for. I don't ever remember her sauteeing the beef before hand but I will follow the recipe.

OMG - my mom used to make this when I was a kid (some 50 years ago) but she'd use mayo instead of ranch. I make this quite often when I don't know what to make or don't want a heavy meal. Have used ranch for picky kid but always mayo for mine. Thanks for posting and bringing back such wonderful memories.

Very good. A refreshing change from the typical potato salad of which I am not a fan. I made it for a party at my house and it went over very well. It did however made too much dressing. I would use almost 1/2 as much.

Easy Baked Ham

I've been making ham like this for years. As another poster suggested - Vernors Ginger Ale is best but I think it's a Michigan-based pop. Didn't have it in IL. But if you can find it - it's awesome. Great for reheating leftover ham.....gently simmer in the Vernors - easy ham and great tasting.
