About me:
I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. Tallahassee is in the northern part of the state and can, almost, be considered part of Georgia. My Father grew up in southern Georgia and my Mother grew up in central Florida. So, you can see that I had a mix of southern upbringing. Our family has always enjoyed food and both parents were always in the kitchen preparing something good. I never realized, until I met my husband how I was raised to really appreciate food and look forward to eating my favorites. Gathering around the dinner table every night was always a special occasion.

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed on May 28, 2008 by samantha A.
In my opinion, this recipe was a little off. I followed the recipe to the T. The only thing I changed was, I added onion, roasted red pepper, fresh tomatoe instead of canned and grilled chicken. The dish was way too greasy and heavy. Maybe it was because the bacon I used was not quality bacon. It was too smokey and the flavor was....not a hit. I suggest using high quality bacon. Make sure the spinach doesn't overwilt, pour out a little of the bacon grease and add a little pasta water, add fresh basil, some shreaded parm. and maybe a differant shaped pasta would help too. Sorry to leave a bad review but I was very disappointed with this recipe and this website hardly ever produces a dish like i made today. Procede with caution, because it does have potential.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed on May 14, 2008 by BelleResa
Yummy! Just made this for me and DH. We both loved it. Used 1/2 light mayo and 1/2 greek yogurt--to save on calories. It was excellent. Didn't have garlic pepper--so used dried garlic/parsley and some fresh ground pepper. We ate half tonight. I chopped the leftovers and plan on using it as a topping for whole wheat angel hair for dinner tomorrow night. Glad for the extra juice in pan as it will work with tomorrow nights pasta.

Unbelievably Awesome Barbeque Chicken Pizza

Reviewed on Feb. 27, 2008 by Abby
This was a great pizza! I used 2 cups of mozzarella and sprinkled some Cheddar cheese on top too. I would warn people to be careful when cooking the chicken w/ BBQ sauce---the sauce I used must have had a lot of sugar in it b/c it burned after about 5 minutes on one side. I just peeled the burnt layer off and it still tasted great. Just a word of warning! The sesame oil gave a great taste, but we only used 1 TB and 1 TB olive oil so it wasn't overpowering. Thanks for sharing!
