Belgian Salad

A refreshingly sweet side dish of baby peas, white corn, green beans, and pimentos, all tossed together with a simple sweet and sour vinaigrette. Using all canned vegetables, this is a snap to prepare and has wonderful flavor after marinating overnight.

Ground beef is simmered in a tangy sauce with onion. My Grandfather owned a drive-in restaurant back in the 1950's. This is his exact recipe for Coney Dogs from back in the day. I make this on special occasions and it is always hit with friends and family. Enjoy.

Half of this pie 's strawberries are arranged in a baked pastry shell, and the other half are crushed and cooked up with sugar, water and cornstarch until thick and bubbly. This lovely glaze is then poured over the whole berries in the pastry shell. Chill this pie for several hours and serve it with mounds of whipped cream.
