Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
The first time I made these they just turned out ok. However, the next time we tried they were WONDERFUL!! I cut back on some of the chips, as I think they're a little too chocolate-y (which I never thought could be true). YUMMO!

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
This is pretty darn good. I followed all the ingredients. The only thing I did do different is the nuts, bsugar and cin I just mixed in, I did not layer. That is just way I roll. It was great. I was looking for something just a little different, put on some butter and you have a great treat, its nice and moist.

Slammin' Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
This is very good. I did not have the oils suggested, so I justed added 1tbs of olive oil. I will make this again and thinking of other things to use it on. I might increased the b sugar a little just for personal taste. I love it! I grilled it on a george foreman also.

Pie Crust V

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
I gave this recipe 4 stars because it was extremely good (i never eat the crust off of pies, just the filling, and I ate this one!), but I found it EXTREMELY hard to roll out. I did use a whole egg, as other members had suggested. I can't imagine what it would have been like with only half an egg. When I make this again (today or tomorrow), I am going to make it 2 1/2 times bigger for two pies. Very good tasting pie crust though!

Balsamic Marinated Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
I did not have the minced onion, so I used dried chives I had. I did use fresh garlic also. Other than that 1/2 the recipe for 2 split breasts in the oven and basted with the marinade. I had marinated in the fridge for 1 hour. I love it... It was great flavor..

Deb's Scallops Florentine

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
This is so good. I love it. I skipped Step#2 also. I did not want tough scallops. I also used half and half it was what I had. I did not have any old bay, but my flavors were still great. I did had a few slices of garlic to the mixture. It's rich, but not to rich and good. I guess on measurements too, because I had a big bag of scallops and spinach. I only sprinkled bread crumbs on top till covered, I don't think it needs 1/4 cup. Thanks will make this one again!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This was just ok for us. I did let the cooking time longer on low so the flavors would meld. When I tasted after adding the milk, I then decided to add 1 cup cheddar cheese and 1 tbs parm cheese. It was a hit that way. I also used a technique my mom uses and took the potato masher and mashed the potatoes some...

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
These are good. I used milk chocolate chips and M&M that is what I had. this made them kid friendly. Very good. I can not wait to try with other flavors, like peanut butter or some carmal.

Easy Fried Spinach

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
I like the concept but used half the oil and butter. I minced my garlic, because that is how I "roll". Thanks for a great quick new way to have spinach.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
I will never make chicken and dumplings the old way again ! This was so super easy. They came out creamy and tasted like the recipe I make the hard way. My "Boys" ate three helpings. I did add some carrots celery and potatoes. I just parboiled the carrots and celery so I didn't have to worry about having any extra water from the veggies thinning out the thick creamy gravy and then mixed them in with the cream of chicken and potatoes and dumped it on top of the chicken. It worked out perfect. I will absolutley make this again.

Traditional Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
My son has been after me to make Salisbury as he likes the one at school and we all know its frozen. ok so here we go, this was good. I used 1lb of meat instead of 3/4. I still have enough in the fridge to make hamburgers. I did not have the beef B., don't skip that part or use beef broth for the water. That is what I am going to do next time use low sod beef broth for the water as the beef b. has to much sodium. I also was in a hurry as I had a KID that was very hungry and I missed the step of letting it set in the pan with gravy for 15 min. But he loved it any way. Thanks and this will my go to for us. I served over rice, I know different. :)
