Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I made this the other day using chicken quarters and it was very, very good. I added 1/3 c honey for a touch of sweetness and the chicken was a lovely carmel color. I am going to make this again tonight using pork tenderlion cutlets and am expecting excellent results once again! Thanks, Tara!

Strawberry Dream Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
I made this cake for my husband's 50th birthday and was very dissapointed. The frosting was excellent, but the cake itself was far too dense for our liking. It weighed about a ton!! Won't make this again.

Galaktoboureko

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This was a lot of work, using a lot of ingredients and time. I served it with a greek dinner for five and we barely ate a third of it. The remainder sat in the fridge for a week before I tossed it. We found it quite bland; not unlike tapioca pudding with phyllo. Sorry, but next time I need a Greek dessert I will stick with balkava or lemon cake.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
I really liked this recipe. It was easy and it had a great texture. It was a little bit springier than most banana bread. I think I will add a few extra spices next time. Maybe some vanilla and nutmeg, that was the only thing missing. It was a great start though, this is a keeper.

Spinach Strudels

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
This was wonderful! I also doubled the filling, and cheated on brushing each layer of phyllo with butter by spraying every other layer with canola oil. I made a ten-serving size to serve with gyros for three people and there wasn't a crumb left over!

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
I was surprised that such an easy dish can be delicious! I really thought that it didn't have enough ingredients to be good. I think this recipe could also be modified to make crab enchiladas. I loved these!

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

I personally liked the taste of these enchiladas but my husband didn't like the cottage cheese. I may toy around with this one.

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
These cookies look really beautiful, but I wasn't wowed by them. They reminded me alot of snickerdoodles. I prefer a molasses cookie that is a bit spicier. I'll keep looking.

Crab Salad Supreme

Reviewed: May 14, 2007
This was not nearly as good as the other reviews had me expect. It turned out too runny for my taste, and the chili sauce turned the dressing an unappetizing color. If I were to make this again, I would leave the chili sauce out completely, reduce the celery seed at least by half, and it might be O.K.
