Substitute rum for the water and give it FIVE stars!!! My mom cut this recipe out of the paper decades ago, and I've been making the five star version for years ;)

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
I bake bread & rolls a couple times a week...and this is my go-to recipe for the best results. Sweet, soft, and buttery. So easy to mix in the bread machine on dough setting, then simply shape and let rise.

I tried this recipe a few times and with some minor short cuts its five stars! Cut the chicken into strips before breading and browning and add to the pasta before simmering. A new family favorite.

Save yourself time and simply use a tube of pre-made sugar cookie dough! The cream cheese filling is soooo good. I took this to an Indy 500 party, and it was the very first thing gone!!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
This is the best ginger cookie recipe. There's a bakery in central Ohio that sells a cookie like this, and growing up, we always picked them up on the way to the lake...I have tried MANY ginger cookie recipes to duplicate the flavor - this is it!!

Great Grandad's Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
This is a classic, basic, sugar cookie recipe. The taste is good - especially with a little extra vanilla & nutmeg, but if you don't chill the dough, they tend to loose a bit of their shape.

Baking Powder Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
The flavor was great, but the texture was that of sawdust. I followed the recipe exactly, and the biscuits were very dry and crumbly. I will use this recipe again for Strawberry shortcake, but not as a drop biscuit "side".

Amber's Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Very good recipe. Was afraid to use the 5 spice with littler ones for guest. I did cut down on the sesame seeds but added some sesame oil when frying to make up for it. Like others I tripled the sauce. Added some thai garlic chile hot sauce for some added kick. Will definitely make again.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
I thought this was a very nice twist on the regular tuna salad. I did cut down on the mayo as others have suggested. I did not add the parsley. Only things I added to it was a pinch of sesame seeds and I added 2 chopped hard boiled eggs to it. Wife enjoyed it. The girls did until I told them it was tuna fish. They wont eat any fish for some reason. Should have told them it was chicken salad.

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
After reading the other reviews I knew I needed to cut down on the liquid.(not fond of moist rice like that) So I cut down on 1/2 cup of the water(I used chicken broth)and added a little more rice than what's called for. The rice was still moist but not gooey. I used an 8 oz can of tomato sauce and a can of diced green chiles. I also added 2 cloves of chopped garlic to the saute mix. I added some cumin and cut down on the chile powder by half. Made for a good sidedish on taco night. Thanks for the recipe.

Southern Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
I am giving this 4 stars because I followed the changes of some other reviewers. But it turned out great so bump it up to a 5 with changes. I added the garlic and onion powder plus a dash of cayenne pepper. Used tenderized cube steak. Double dipped in the egg and flour mixture. Used a McCormick's country gravy just to save some time(daughter likes to make that). It went over great with everyone.

Hot Pizza Dip by 3-A-Day™of Dairy

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
I thought that this recipe had a lot of potential. But it did not quite go over at our BBQ. A few people said it was good. But I think that people were not expecting a cream cheese mixture in a pizza dip. Their loss. It was a good tasting recipe.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
I thought it was a little bland and could be a little sweeter, but it was pretty good as is. I'm going to use English Breakfast next time I make this to pump up the tea flavor and put an extra 1/4 cup of sugar.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
The recipe tasted great exactly as is (though we omitted onions because neither of us like them). The meat had tons of flavor. The burgers themselves came out OK, but they kept falling apart (our meat was not very lean either) and the bacon kept igniting on the grill. I don't know if the ingredients caused it to fall apart or what, but we'll definitely be trying this again.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

These wound up being very good despite me destroying the potato skins when trying to scoop the insides out. Definitely make sure you don't forget to put in the pepper and salt, otherwise it turns out a little bland.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
Very flavorful and juicy. The bacon is a necessity in this recipe. The bacon pulls all of the flavors together (otherwise I think the flavors of the teriyaki and the cheese would have clashed a bit too much). I waited and put the cheese on halfway through the heating time, which I think turned out fine. Great recipe though. I will be using this a ton in the future.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
RICH! But absolutely amazing. I followed the recipe exactly except for the flavoring. I split the batter into thirds and put 2tsp of vanilla, raspberry, or cherry extracts in each third. I then rolled them in either pecan pieces, chocolate sprinkles, coconut, confectioners sugar, or powdered cocoa. Very rich and sweet, but I absolutely love them. They really are decadent. I'll definitely be making these again.
