Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
Excellent meatloaf! It was a lot sweeter than I'm used to. So, I may slightly reduce the brownsugar next time, but overall very tasty. I also added diced green peppers and Italian seasoning for added flavor

Grandma's Gnocchi

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
This is a very good recipe - just like my great grandma used to make. It's not complicated to follow, but it is labor intensive! I added salt to the dough for some added flavor. I also pulled apart the dough and rolled it into egg shapped balls, to give it a better aethetic. Don't worry about mashing all the lumps out of the potato before making the dough. Boiling the gnoccis in water will soften up any small remaining lumps. I like my gnoccis with vodka marinara, yummm!

Apple Cider Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
Very good. I would decrease the amount of apple cider by about 1/2 a cup or so because as is, they are pretty watery but besides that VERY yummy. You don't even need syrup. They taste great plain too!

Bourbon Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
I love bourbon chicken, and I've tried about 5 other recipes from the Internet, and NONE come close to 'the mall' chicken. This recipe was nothing like I expected. Do yourself a favor: Get in your car and spend the $4 for a plate of the real stuff!

Albino Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2006
This was light, and quite tasty. I topped with a grilled chicken breast and it looked like something you get at a resturahnt. It's quick, easy, and fairly healthy -- you can't go wrong with this. I may add some fresh basil next time for a new flavor.

Alla Checca

Excellent! Just be careful with the garlic. If you make lots of sauce and it sits in the fridge a day or two, the garlic will get stronger. Still a very, very good recipe for fresh tomatos and basil.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2006
EXCELLENT! This is so easy and so tasty, it's perfect for a week night meal. I was a little concernd with dipping chicken in olive oil (health-wise that it), but it turns out to be a really small amount that's on the chicken. The crusty get crispy and the chicken's tender, it's ALL GOOD! This will be a standard chicken recipe for our house.

Chicken Souiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
This was ok, alot of work and not very filling. Make sure you bake it long enough, otherwise it will turn ouy mushy. I can't think of what would make this recipe better, but it definitely needs something. It's worth a shot tho.

Very good and very rich. Didn't add the Old Bay, I don't think they needed it. I envision using this recipe with spinach-stuffed chicken... Very goo.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This was tasty. I mixed Rotini pasta in with the sauce to make it easier to serve, but I think it was a mistake. It's a good. creamy sauce that needs to be poured over pasta, not mixed with. I did use only black and red peppers with this, and it was spicy enough. This is a keeper!

The eggs tasted great but I think I over stirred them because they got very crumbly toward the end. All-in-all great tasting though!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

This is without a doubt the best recipe for enchiladas. The verde salsa is dead on authentic! Excellent! I added some cilantro to the salsa, and might add some lime juice next time for a different flavor.

Pretty good, but a little too much butter in my opinion. These scallops would be great served over buttered fettucini or noodles.

This was just "eh" for us. In my opinion, it's an awful lot of work for just a casserole. I'd go with the "Beef and Biscuit" recipe on this site if I'm going to make something like this again.

Roll About Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2005
Nope, no way. Not using this recipe again. It was way too sticky, I had to chill the dough and then add another 1/2 cup of flour, and on the advice of a previous reviewer a 1/2 cup powdered sugar. With the holiday time crunch, I need a cookie dough that's perfect to use without modifications. Surely there's a better one out there, this isn't it. Taste and appearance-wise they were great tho.

Garlic Potatoes Gratin

These looked yucky, but tasted pretty good. I'm not sure what happened, but the saucey stuff got chunky and seperated from the potatoes.. There's probably better recipes out there for au gratin potatoes.

Spicy Italian Pork Cutlets

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2005
WOW! These were GREAT! I think this will become my standard pork chop recipe. The only thing the sauce needed was onions, other than that, delish! I tenderized the chops with a mallet before I seared them to make them super tender. You can't go wrong with this.
