Cheese Quesadillas

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
this was such an easy and good dish. I made the mistake in making a huge 12 inch quesadilla .. it was so good i ended up eating the whole thing even tho i was stuffed! everyone wanted the recipe and when i told them how easy it was they couldn't believe it.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
If you like PF changes lettuce wraps these taste just like them ... instead of the recommended lettuce i used fresh crisp ice berg like they do at pf changs. It was so good. I made it with the Oriental Dipping Sauce from this website, like other before have recommended, good recommendation. I also added a little bit more sesame oil. Instead of 1 tsp i did 1 tbl spoon. The leftovers were just as good.

White Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
My husband insisted this cake was too sweet. My three year old daughter who usually is a sugarholic like myself, wouldn't touch this cake after the first bite. Personally, I love this cake! But I want to accurately reflect the opinions of my family in this review. What I might do is make this cake again and lessen the sugar content (especially in the icing) and then sneak it to them again.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
I loved these cookies! Chewy, nutty (I added 3/4 cup of halved walnuts to mine) moist and delicious ...these were everything a good chocolate chip cookie should be. From now on this is my new favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe! By the way, be sure to keep them in a closed container if you want to keep these cookies soft and moist. I got that tip from Gwenec.

Raisin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
I love rasins and I love rasin pie. Rasin pies are almost impossible to find frozen, (even my local Baker Square didn't make 'em). I gave up on ever enjoying this treat again until I found this delicious recipe. Because of personal preferance I'll probably add 3/4 cup more rasins next time and increase the other ingredients correspondingly. (I like well mounded pies.) But I am so glad I can enjoy a favorite again.

Coconut Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
I enjoyed this pie. Sure it may not taste as authentic as a time-consuming everything-made-by-scratch coconut cream pie. But I think the point of this particular recipe was to be simple and quick and that it was. I couldn't find any coconut pudding at my local super market so I added about a tablespoon of coconut essence to the vanila pudding mix. I didn't put any of the cocnut flakes in the mix itself but toasted it and then sprinkled it on top of real whipped cream. (I hate Cool Whip.)This pie worked for me and my family!

Hearty Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
I'm not sure why this sandwich is called 'meatball'. It's more like a meat loaf sandwich. But they sure are tasty. I added an egg to my meat mix to help it stay together better. (It kept falling apart when I tried to shape it in a log). That's the only change I made. My hubby loves these sanwiches. Thanks Wyatt, for providing a new family favorite!

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
I wasn't sure about these cookies at first because I had tried the gooey butter cake before and it was a little too exotic for my taste. But I love the cookie version! Especially if you add some m&m's to the mix. These are my new favorite cookies.

Chocolate Chip Pie III

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2007
With 'Choclate Chip' and 'Pie' in the same title I just had to try this recipe. I was driven with curiosity. Overall a decent pie, but it didn't appeal to my particular taste or my husbands'. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this recipe and I can understand why other people would like it. But it just wasn't for me. Maybe it's the pecans. I usually don't like nuts in my pies. I'm glad I tried it at least once though.

Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
For me this recipe was a total disaster. The crust was soggy underneath, (Even though I baked it first for 4 minutes.) and burnt and black on top. The pizza was very oily, and I had to constantly interupt the baking in order to pour the grease out of the sides as if it were meat loaf. I didn't cut the garlic fine enough so there were several 'hot' spots in the pizza. At the end I had to toss the whole thing out. But I love Chicago Style Pizza, so I refuse to give up. I'll definitely try this recipe again, and I'll post if I get better results. EDIT: I just wanted to add, that I do not blame the recipe for my hishap at all. I'm a beginner cook and still learning. I will definitely try this recipe again, hopefully with better results.
