Buttery Cranberry Pie

It was good however, every subsequent bite I felt as if I was tasting more and more lemon juice. I think I'll cut the juice down and try it that way. Everyone gobbled it up however.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
Wonderful!! A little too much pepper for my family. I didn't have ham but did have lunchmeat ham that I chopped and it worked just as well! Will make again because my husband has taken for 2 days in a row for lunch and he never takes leftovers.

Microwave Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
There is nothing worse than heating up your kitchen to enjoy summer's corn. I have a variation that I use all the time for my family of four. I husk 4 ears of corn and rub each ear with butter. I place them side by side in a 9x9 pyrex dish and cover this dish with saran. I microwave all 4 ears for 5-8 minutes (depeneding on the strength of your wave). They are now ready for a dash of salt! I love making corn in the microwave.

Phyllo Turnovers with Shrimp and Ricotta Filling

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
I have made these twice now. Both times I could NOT stop myself from sneaking bites it as I made it....I could almost eat this with a spoon. Phyllo, while impressive, is a pain, so the 2nd time I made the recipe, I used wonton wrappers. I also added more shrimp and hot sauce b/c some of the ladies said it needed more flavor, but others said it was fine. Just a matter of preference. I also think this would be good over linguini if it was thinned out a bit more with the cream...just tell me how!

These were good and creamy but had a strong garlic flavor. Good but I would scale back on the garlic.

Excellent!!!! My husband made these for Valentine's Day dinner, and they were just fantastic. The spices really bring out the hidden flavors of the meat. I would have him make these again in a heartbeat.

Ham Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I am giving this 5 stars b/c each the 4 members of my family thought it was great, and I was sure my husband was going to turn his nose up at it. I have to say that I was skeptical b/c the base was soup, but the flavor was there. Really creamy, too. Great way to use leftover ham, and it couldn't have been easier to make. I followed the recipe exactly - always do the first time I make anything. Thanks for sharing!

Lamb and Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
This is my recipe. When I originally submitted this, I recommended using NSA broth and tomato sause to help lower the sodium content. The garlic and herb seasoning blend that is listed, I use Mrs. Dash, which is also low sodium. And the vegetable oil listed, I generally use EVOO. I hope you enjoy the recipe! Thanks for looking! :D

These pretty little cakes will impress your guests and their size will invite people to try them. They are a bit of work, but worth it. My father-in-law loves pineapple upside-down cake and was surprised to learn it was made from cake mix in a box.

Raspberry Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I made this recipe but i did some research on what to do to make it set better. First of all don't use liquid pectin that is one of the problems with the recipe and it not setting. Second off don't use ball pectin use sure-jell pectin. I tried both this year to see which one worked best and the sure-jell cost 50 cents more but it's worth it. It started to jell before i could get it strained and into the jars. Which is a good thing The ball pectin did not set fully yet it's only been 4 days but the sure-jell set in 20 minutes. USE SURE-JELL not Ball Pectin!!!

Cheese Ravioli with Pumpkin Sage Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This was good.. The pumpkin was a little strong, not as smooth as I thought. Could not taste the sage, and it seems like the proportions are off. Use your gut and adjust as needed with this one. I sauteed some scallops in olive oil and white wine to go with this.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
this was a pretty good dip. it was easier than i thought. I used whipped ceam cheese because it was easier to mix in and when i put it in the fridge after i made it until the party the cream cheese didn't re-harden. i would cut the taco seasoning mix in half for my taste it was too salty. Make those two changes and it's a hit.
