Very easy and tasted great. I doubled the recipe, tossed all in a ziplock bag and went to work. When I came home dinner was ready in no time. Tasted great, would not change a thing.

Whole Wheat Bread III

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2006
Good wheat bread. The bread was very dense and heavy. The taste has a nice light honey taste. When toasted the crust has a nice crunch. My son liked this bread alot. I thought is was a litte heavy, but the taste was very nice. I may try to lighten this loaf up a bit.

This was good. It does need more sauce. My kids loved it. Not difficult to make.I will use a little less sesame seeds next time.

Sauerkraut Rye Bread

Nice rye bread. The bread had a medium density with a light rye flavor. The bread was small and compact from the bread machine. I liked the flavor and texture. Will make again.

Russian Black Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2006
I thought the bread was great. I did not have bread flour, just regular flour.I was out of gluten so I was wondering how it would all work. I substituted molasses for corn syrup, and olive oil for margarine. I added two teaspoon onion powder. The bread turned out great, it was moist and flavorful. The bread was nice and soft. It would make a nice sandwich bread, also would go great with many soups.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2006
Very nice bread. Makes a great white sandwich bread. Same as I was buying at a local shop. I used 1 1/2 teaspoons of yeast. The bread was nice and tall in the machine. The crust was nice and chewy, and the inside texture was very soft. I did not follow the recipe directions. I followed the guidlines of my bread machine to put the ingredients in the machine in the order the bread machine requires. Each machine is different.

Tasty Buns

This is a perfect hambuger / hotdog bun recipe. I always get 6 hambuger buns, and 5 hotdog buns out of this recipe. I have hambuger and hotdog bun pans that help the dough keep a nice shape. My children eat these over store bought.

Nany's White Cake

I did not like this. The cake was very tough and had a bland bread taste. Tried to make a birthday cake with this. We skipped the birthday cake, thank goodness I also had a fruit salad to serve.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2006
This was great with the changes I made: Substituted beefy-mushroom soup for some of the water, used beef-onion dry soup mix, increased the wine to 1/2 cup and used Merlot, decreased the beef by 1/2 pound, and added peas and mushrooms during the last hour. My husband LOVED this, and that's saying a lot -- he almost never likes his food 'mixed.'

French Fried Potatoes

Great french fries. I cut the potatoes on my mandoline. fried them all twice. first for 2 minutes, then until golden brown. I did double the recipe and we were still a little short for five people. Next time I will cut suger in half. They were very good, but a fuzz too sweet.

Sweet Honey French Bread

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
This is so good, and so easy!!! I have made this three times, with different veggies each time, and it has come out wonderful! I don't like rosemary so I skip it, and the last time I had to use dried thyme, and it is still good. Be sure to add softer vegetables (summer squash, mushrooms, etc.) during the last 10 minutes or so or you'll have some mush. The second time I made it, I used sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, red and green peppers, carrots, onions, mushrooms and yellow squash. The last time I only had white potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and asparagus. No matter what I use we like it. Thanks so much!

Fat Free Refried Beans

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
I used pinto beans (drained and rinsed, really cuts the salt), since I don't have black beans, but I'll do the black beans next time. These are really easy, and they are way better than the canned. I didn't use any salt, pepper, or liquid smoke (none on hand). Also skipped the onions because of family preference. Added cumin because of all that. This is a recipe that's easy to adjust to your personal liking, which is great to me! I am going to add diced jalepeno next time for some kick.
