Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
The recipe makes two wonderful pound cakes in loaf pans. The taste and texture of cake went past what I was expecting. Only change was sugar, used 2 3/4 cup. Perfect pound cake, extra fine crumb. Used with chocolate fountain at party. This was the first item gone at the party for 15 people.

My husband, the cookie master, really liked these cookies. He even makes them himself now. (If you knew my husband, you would know how good these must be!).

This is an incredible recipe! I did decrease the sugar as some people recommended and it was great. We made a huge batch for the homeless shelter and everyone loved it1!

Lasagna Spirals

The only two mods I make on a regular basis is that I use frozen spinach (thawed & drained) instead of broccoli and I leave out the scallions. Other than that, this recipe is a keeper in my family.

Garlic Cheese Flatbread

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2007
I tried to make this on dough setting on bread machine. The dough came out sticky, worked in 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour. After a short while was able to roll out and get ready for oven. I brushed top with olive oil, not magarine. I used only 1 T garlic powder, and it turned out fine. The bread texture was light, and the seasoning worked out perfect.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Good blueberry muffin. Take it easy on crumb topping, adding too much will make the muffin overly sweet.

These were very easy and quick. I was short on time, so tried this recipe. They turned out fine, served with honey and jam. The kids loved them. I found them to be light and airy. I mixed them until just combined. Do not over beat.

Schlotsky's Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
Very good, only change was to 3/4 teaspoon salt. I made dough in bread machine, divided dough in two, and baked in two 8 inch round cake pans. This worked out perfect. Something different for sandwiches. Schlotzsky's always toasted their bread, we did this with this recipe tasted great.

All Day Apple Butter

Only change made was cutting recipe in half. I used 2 1/4 pounds empire apples. I did not remove skin, only cored apples. I put apples in food processor and pulsed until the apples were chopped small. Cooked 11 hours in 4 quart crockpot, worked perfectly.

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2006
These are very good. I made one change because of allergies. I changed the shortening and the butter with coconut oil. I added a couple drops butter flavoring. I know this sounds like a wierd switch, but this cookie can be made dairy free with great results. I have a child that can't have dairy or soy, so no butter or shortening. I was really happy with the end result of this recipe.
