This was very good. Next time I will double the recipe, two teenage boys put a large dent into the four servings I made.

Pork Chops with Apples, Sweet Potatoes, and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
i personally thought this recipe was wonderful, but my family had mixed reviews. i used three sweet potatoes, three apples and one and a half onions and it still turned out okay. i think i could've used a little less sauerkraut (i used a large can) and maybe seasoned the chops with salt and pepper. i used white wine for the extra liquid and i think next time i make this i will use half wine half water to make the taste a little more mild. other than these minor changes this recipe is good if you're looking for something different.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
For some reason, my potatoes would not get soft, even though I baked them for even an hour longer than the recipe called for. I don't know what happened, but I was very disappointed because I had to throw the entire dish away with all those wonderful cheeses. I am sure it is a good recipe and I just did something wrong, but I am scared to try again.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

This was really good fudge. I made it at Christmas time for gifts and everyone loved it. I like the fact that it is a darker chocolate fudge since I absolutely LOVE dark chocolate and am not a big milk chocolate person.

French Breakfast Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
These muffins were awesome! I made them in the mini muffin papers and they were so adorable. Plus, the smaller size allowed more the the sugary-crispy topping per bite than a large muffin. It was a perfect recipe for using things I already had around the house without needing a special trip to the store.

Very good soup. Just a little thick. Might want to add some extra milk along with another dash or two of salt, especially when re-heating leftovers. Very good soup, though!

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Oh. My. Goodness. This soup is to die for! Whenever I make it, I have to hand out the recipe left and right. It is kind of hard to understand how much basil to use exactly because the leaves are all different sizes. If you puree it separately with a little tomato juice, you can add it to taste separately.

This is an awesome potato soup! I am not normally a big fan of potato soup, but i have to say, this one is awesome and very easy. It is a great way to use leftover baked potatoes that I used to throw out.

Sea Salted Coffee Toffee Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
After intending to follow the recipe exactly, I had to make some changes. First, after seeing the other cook's review, I tried making the bars in a jelly roll pan instead of a cake pan. I baked the crust for about six minutes, and the whole thing for about seven minutes. The topping gets big bubbles on top, which is the way its supposed to cook. They turned out flat, but the top was chewy and and bottom flaky. Be sure to use *real butter* or they won't turn out right. I didn't use coffee as they are for my husband, who doesn't like coffee. I also forgot vanilla and didn't put the nuts on til after the bars cooked. Be sure to use sea salt as it doesn't dissolve on the hot bars. I will definitely make them again and try the cake pan just to see if that makes a difference. Oh, and the crust is not supposed to be done after the first baking. It finishes baking with the topping, which also helps the topping absorb somewhat and become chewy.

I am going to make this bread tomorrow; however, I am going to rate this to offset the person who didn't make the recipe, didn't READ the recipe, and gave it one star for her (his?) own lack of..... whatever. Thanks, this sounds great. I will definitely be back to rate the RECIPE.

Pineapple Angel Food Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
This was so good and unbelievably easy! To the previous reviewer who asked, you do not mix the cake according to the directions on the box. Only use the three ingredients included in this recipe-dry cake mix, pineapple (do not drain!), and vanilla. It is scrumptious and was a great hit!
