Banana Cake VI

I have made this cake with great results. Not all bananas are the same size, perhaps that could cause a difference.

Pretzel Turtles

I love these. They are sweet, salty and chewy. Can't eat just one. These are so easy to make. I put these in the fridge to cool, as they do take awhile to harden.

Neapolitan Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
I have made these cookies for probably about 20 years now. I got the exact recipe from our newspaper that many years ago. They always turn out great. The only thing I changed, was that I used double the amount of almond extract. Very good cookies and easy to make.

Sandies

These cookies are pretty good, however I have two other recipes that I prefer that are very similar. I think the sugar should be increased to maybe 1/2 cup. I would like them just a little sweeter.

Very delicious added melted butter in with breadcrumb mixture to help combine. I also added dried cranberries. Worth the work.

Best Apple Crisp Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
This turned out great!! After I spread the topping I added a little water to dampen the topping,a sprinkle of white sugar and dabbed it with softened butter. This made it not so hard or dry. Browned very nicely with the addition of sugar and butter.

Pear Bread I

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
I used 1/2-Splenda and 1/2-sugar. I also substituted unsweetened applesauce for the oil. The bread turned out delicious. The only reason I ranked this 4-star is because of the texture of pears in bread. My family got caught-up in the graininess of the texture that pears present.

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
This is an excellent bread. I have made it several times and will continue to do so. Flaxseeds and sunflower seeds are a wonderful combination. The texture is great as well as the fantastic flavor. I might try to grind the flaxseeds in the future, because I have heard that they are more benificial that way. Yummy bread!!!!
