Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
This is so close to the recipe we have used for 4 generations. We also add 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of pickle relish. I frequently use molasses instead of brown sugar, but the original recipe has the brown sugar. This came from a recipe my Great-Grandmother cut out of the Chicago Tribune food section in the early 50's!

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
Followed directions to the T and came out perfect! The butter pushed out of the pan when the bread rose while baking causing some smoke and clean up. Other than that mild inconvenience recipe was well received by my family. Thank you for sharing.

Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
I have never had any Snickerdoodles before, but these were wonderful! I thought they were best right out of the oven. They're my boyfriend's favorite kind of cookie, and he loved them. I also took the added note from a member of sticking a piece of bread in a zip lock bag to keep the cookies fresh, and it really did help. They lasted a long time. This does make a big batch though, so make sure there is somewhere for them to go :)

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
Loved this recipe. I cut my wedges on the large side, used the center rack and kept a close eye on them while baking. Came out perfect as directed. As far as salting, I left that up to the individual eater, 1/2 my family salted theirs, 1/2 didn't. Thank you for sharing.

Chicken Pot Pie VI

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
This was an absolute hit! Everyone loved it. Leftovers barely made it to the next day. I did not have any poultry seasoning on hand, so I just skipped that part, but it still turned out wonderful. The only thing that would have made this better, a homemade crust.

I used frozen blueberries, drained, and increased the liquid used to about twice that in the recipe.

This is a perfect blend! I had to get out the stock pot because I didn't have a bowl big enough to stir without making a mess. These will make great Holiday Gifts! Thank you for sharing!

Let covered chops simmer about 25 min before moving to the oven. My family really liked this recipe. Perfect fall comfort food and will be adding this into our rotation. Thank you for sharing.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
Very good chili recipe. I used V-8, chopped tomatoes and a can of Rotel only because that's what I had on hand. I omitted the red pepper because the Rotel has just enough heat for my family. I'll be rotating this recipe throughout the cooler months. Thank you for sharing.
