About me:
I studied art in college but am not pursuing that as a career. I prefer to do it on the side, once we get situated in the home we purchased about 6 months ago, and I find a place to "make a mess". I do enjoy cooking, baking and gardening, as it's an outlet for my artistic tendencies. I love the experimentation (with some basic knowledge) and find excitement in seeing the results come out of the oven or out of the ground!

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

Reviewed on Dec. 18, 2009 by Ghani
These are perfect and simple to make. I melted chocolate mints and dipped the cookies for extra mint chocolate goodness, let them set up on wax paper. Do yourself a favor and eat one while they're still a little melty. Delicious!!

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed on Dec. 18, 2009 by Ghani
Awesome! The easiest macaroons I've ever made. I followed some other suggestions and went with 1 tsp. almond extract and 1 tsp. vanilla. It gave them a wonderful, almost amaretto flavor. So good!

Strawberry Spinach Salad III

Reviewed on Dec. 3, 2009 by LWELKNER
I selected this one for the lower calories. It was nice. I did add about two tablespoons of sliced almonds to the pan when I browned the sesame seeds. I also minced fresh onion instead of using powder.
