About me:
I raised five children on a rather meager income, so learning to cook for an army and to do it on a small budget certainly taught me a lot about cooking! I learned very early on to experiment to make everyday meals taste better and go further!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed on Jul. 4, 2009 by Spyce
Terrific marinade. I didn't use any salt and used 1/2 the amount of oil in the recipe. For my kabobs, I used chicken and shrimp on separate skewers, and they were delicious. Everyone enjoyed them.

Honey Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed on Jul. 1, 2009 by Spyce
Very tasty. We really enjoyed this dish. I put orange bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, and green onions on separate skewers and brushed them with italian dressing rather than use the same marinade as the shrimp. Since the worcestershire sauce plays a dominant role in the recipe, I recommend using a good brand like Lea & Perrins. I served the kabobs with steamed rice.

Cheesy Creamed Spinach

Reviewed on Jun. 25, 2009 by kelc84
I cut this recipe in half and used 1 (5oz) container fresh spinach and 1 (10oz) frozen spinach. I added the frozen after it was thawed in the microwave to the wilted fresh spinach. The end result came out with a little too much liquid but Im sure thats from not pressing all the water out of the frozen spinach after cooking. The flavor was great and I did add some fresh ground black pepper. Very good!
