Connie's Zucchini 'Crab' Cakes

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
i'm giving four stars just b/c i changed the recipe so much. i took other's advice and omitted melted butter, but substituted with 1 tbsp. mayo. i didn't have any old bay, so i just spiced them up. these cakes were delicious! can't wait to try it with the old bay! i used hidden valley spicy ranch for dipping too!

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
This icing was so easy to work with, and like other reviewers stated, it dries pretty quick and packs well once on the cookies. I did change the shortening to unsalted butter though, because of personal preference. Yummy !

Tiropetes

this was fantastic! i used mozzarella instead of monterey jack, b/c i couldn't find it, and added about 1/4 cup parmesan b/c i was a few ounces short on the feta! i put the mixture in mini phyllo cups and they were gone within minutes! delicious appetizer! great flavor! i did add a little garlic powder when i put the salt and pepper in too!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
WOW!!! I made this recipe with using some recommendations from other reviewers. Used heavy whipping cream instead of cool whip in pudding mixture and added toffee pieces on top of brownie layer. topped with pieces of crumbled brownie. presented so well and was so rich and tasty! everyone loved it at memorial day party i brought it too!!! (UPDATE: for easier cutting of the brownies, i inverted brownies out of pan onto cookie sheet after about five minutes out of oven and cut into one inch squares with a pizza cutter! so much easier)

Ranch Dipped Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
ok, this is basically my explanation of how i changed up this recipe, but i thought it was tasty. instead of the ranch dressing, i dipped chicken strips into dry ranch dressing mix, then into milk/egg, and then into panko bread crumbs, with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika added to panko. fried them on medium heat in pan with vegetable oil and butter. yummy! we used the dipping sauce with it too, with honey instead of brown sugar and it was delicious!

Ranch Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
these are a really tasty snack! if you like a little spice, i have sprinkled these with crushed red pepper flakes after coming out of the oven! i have never measured how much, i just eyeball it but it gives it a spicy flavor that really adds to the ranch!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
Just a fun little tip I thought I would share with everyone! I make this without the lime every time now because of our taste preference, and last time I made it, I took the left over chicken breast and chopped it up with a little onion and mayo and it made some amazing spicy chicken salad! Just thought I would share a little tip for using leftovers!
