Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
My absolute standby chocolate frosting. I put it on everything, and watch people roll their eyes in pure, chocolate ecstasy. It can be a bit messy to make, but it's worth the clean-up. Try it with the 'One Bowl Chocolate Cake III', or any other homemade chocolate cake. This may sound a bit snobby, but I think that it's kinda wasted on a plain box chocolate cake mix. I tried it once, and found myself picking the frosting off and leaving the cake on the plate...

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
Awesome noodles! Instead of buying peanuts to garnish, I just used chunky peanut butter in the sauce and it turned out great. I did add some coconut milk for extra tastiness, and didn't use fresh ginger. I think that next time, I'll make the extra effort to use fresh ginger, but it's tasty either way! Yum!

I love the flavor or this sauce. I added a teaspoon of minced garlic and fresh spices. Great Recipe!

Strawberry Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
Yum! This turned out great. I doubled the batch and baked it in two large loaf pans, which took considerably more time to bake but was well worth standing in front of the oven for. I used half wheat flour and half white flour, and I'm enjoying the fruits of that labor right now with a huge cup of coffee! Thank you!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
Keep in mind, this could be operator error...but I followed the directions to a 'T' and ended up with a bland crust that fell apart if I even looked at it. I left it in the oven for hours, and I still got a crack the size of my aunt Edna's . Next time, water bath it shall be. I'll give you one credit, it does taste better after sitting in the fridge overnight. I still ate the whole friggin' thing.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2007
This will probably end up being my staple chocolate cake. It turned out fantastic. Don't worry about the batter being so thin before you bake it, it will turn out perfectly. I covered mine with two layers of chocolate ganache and topped it with some fresh strawberries, and I had a hard time not drooling all over it...

Holy smokes says my husband. I love it. He had to put some shredded cheese on it to cut the heat... Yummo. I was skeptical about the cocoa, but it works

Perfect Sushi Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
The rice was cooked well, but it was way too sweet and vinegary for my taste. I could eat sushi rice for a meal, so I was pretty disappointed. I may try it again, but with much less vinegar and sugar. Other recipes that I've tried use a fraction of what this one calls for...

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
This was a very moist cake, and the chocolate chips are a nice addition. I wasn't a fan of the almond extract, so I probaby won't add that again. Also, be very careful to choose your bundt cake pan wisely, as mine bubbled up way too high and I ended up 'trimming down' my cake to look normal. Larger bundt pans should be fine. All in all, a tasty and rich cake.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: May 3, 2007
I can't imagine eating it for dessert, but it's absolutely perfect for breakfast or brunch. Just a sweet, cinnamony coffee cake, really. This is extremely easy to make, and I've probably made it about a half dozen times now. The recipe needs no 'fixing', it comes out perfect as is. Very highly reccomended...

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
EXCELLENT... I made about 6 quarts in a slow cooker. Let it slow cook all day long. Didn't even have to thicken it at the end, it thickened itself. Family loved it, 1/2 quart left in the slow cooker.
