About me:
With a background in fine art, I tend to cast a critical eye on all things aesthetic, and that includes food. Being near a major metropolitan city and being an avid traveler, I enjoy all the cultural adventures I can whenever I can. My basic philosophy, however, is still-- "If it's made with love, it has to be good."

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Positively amazing! I followed the recipe exactly, and it tasted so good. Sadly, my husband didn't like it much - found the texture to be too sticky and weird, but the good news is that I ended up with enough for dinner for the next two days. :)

Oatmeal Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed on Dec. 14, 2009 by PeanutButterRocks
I liked the recipe (and so did my husband), but made some minor changes: cut the amount of butter in half and replaced with canned pumpkin, used peanut butter chip instead of chocolate chips (as you can see, I love Peanut Butter!), and also added 1/2 cup of chopped nuts for more nut flavor. These are delicious!!!!

Spooky Witches Fingers

These were difficult to shape and spread a lot. The kids didn't like them and I probably won't make these again. I'm giving them 3 stars because one adult enjoyed them.
