Beef with Sweet Peppers

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
This is a tasty recipe. I did cook this in my crockpot and I also used a 7 bone chuck roast because it was on sale. So since I didn't pre-brown it in the skillet i did not use the oil or butter. This was great with mashed potatoes and I made a gravy from the juice left in my crock pot. My picky husband even likes this one. Thanks

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I used a syringe and injected the turkey all over; I have NEVER had a turkey turn out SO moist. This will definitely be repeated next year. Even worked when I make a turkey breast in the crockpot for Christmas.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I loved how easy this fudge was. In fact, my mother loves peanut butter fudge and she just loved this recipe. All the ingredients were in my pantry, making it a last minute choice, no problem. Thank you.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I really enjoyed this dip; for one, I like that I had almost all the ingredients in my cupboard. I used garlic powder instead of minced or chopped garlic and enjoyed how it turned out even more.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
WOW!! This is incredible. My mother said this is a salsa she likes. This is what I did to make it work for me. I took POOHV's suggestions: I used one bag of frozen peaches, and apricot spread I already had in the frig. Next time I will add a couple more kiwis. Oh, and I added NO sugars at all. It was sweet enough.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
The balsalmic vinegar was strong and I over cooked the asparagus, but I would make it again.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
These have an awesome taste. I rolled them out in sugar (something I learned long ago), but because these cookies already have quite a bit of sugar, my 3" cookies turned into 6". Next time I will use flour.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
I added a little more milk to thin the frosting to spreadable texture. Worked wonderful and I now I can make old fashion iced sugar cookies. Thank you.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
These were a HUGE hit and very easy to make. I made a double batch and got approximately 110 cookies. I filled them with strawberry and seedless blackberry jam and already have requests for next year. You HAVE to use real butter though. It is what gives the cookie dough its rich taste. Thank you, BakingNut.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
I like a chunkier soup, so I add 3 packages of broccoli, and for richness, I use 1 Cup half/half instead of 2 Cups milk.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
I personal favorite for my 84 year old grandmother. I can't keep her out of them. However, I've made these adding an extra egg as one person advised and once without. The additional egg made the dough VERY hard to work with and I ended up adding an additional cup of flour and still had problems. I would stick with the original recipe.
