Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
This was a tasty base recipe. I made a few changes but did not change the integrity of the recipe. I used 14 oz of diced tomatoes and 14 oz of pasta sauce. I also included some fresh basil and sauteed mushrooms. It wasn't overly juicy. 10 minutes is definitely enough time to set the lasagna.

BAKER'S® ONE BOWL Coconut Macaroons

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
I have made this twice now and each time everyone raves about them. It is so so easy! I used only a 1/2 tsp of almond extract and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. As well as 3 Extra large egg whites. Really Good.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
This was very good... I was looking for an easy to prepare butternut squash soup and this fit the bill. It does help to roast the squash first, makes the skin come off much easier... I followed the advice of using chicken stock and half the cream cheese and it was wonderful... I used my emusion blender to puree and this was ready in no time at all...

Rosy Cider Jelly

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Loved this recipe! Very easy! I used Trader Joe's Spiced Apple Cider and Trader Joe's Cherry Cider two cups each. It was perhaps a little cloudy but still very pretty and it was SO GOOD! I am making another batch today using just cherry cider. I am going to add a few drops of red food coloring as well to see the result. I got 7 1/2 8 oz jars from this recipe which was fine. I put up seven and kept the half to eat right away! Will definitely be using for gifts this year. Will also taste wonderful over brie cheese. Thanks for a great recipe!

Pumpkin Cookies V

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Awesome! I added 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice to the cookie and nearly 2 cups of powdered sugar to the icing. I think that if I'd let the icing cool for about 2 hours, I wouldn't have needed as much powdered sugar.

Crab Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Great recipe! Forgot to buy green onions (whoops) So I used bacon for extra flavor. Um...Awsome!!!For those of you who need more flavor, crumble up about a 1/4 lb of cooked bacon, mix in before baking and disregard the added fat content. I couldn't finish my first piece (too rich!) but my hubby ate half the pie in one sitting!!

Delicious and Easy Mock Risotto

I loved this recipe, but DH was not a fan. I think this was easy and it was creamy and delicious. Definately something I would like to keep in the recipe files. I did add a splash of white wine for flavor. Thanks for the post.

This was good. I omitted the peas because we aren't fans and added cheddar sour cream crushed potato chips as the topping. Easy and inexpensive meal. Thanks for the post.

Fabulous cookie. Did have to bake them a bit longer approx. 12 minutes. I added some leftover butterscotch chips I had and it improved an already delicious cookie. Will be keeping this one.

Sweet & Salty cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Very good! I followed the recipe exact, only chilling the dough for a couple hours before using. The recipe was right on at baking for ten minutes. Absolutely perfect cookies. I did use semi-sweet chocolate chips, to give it a little bite. Toasting the nuts was a stroke of genius. NOTE: Let these sit on the sheet for a minute or two before you move them so they have a chance to "set".

Creamy Stove Top Mac And Cheese-ci Recipe

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
YAY...I am the first one to rate my favorite mac-n-cheese recipe. I have made this many times to rave reviews. I have made this with and without the onions~good both ways. I have also made this with a little more liquid and "held" it both in the oven and crockpot for parties or big dinners. Part of the fun is changing up the cheeses and seeing what you like. My son always gets to choose at least one of the cheeses. It is really good with a smoked cheese or a dash of smoked paprika too! Thanks, Keni~You Rock!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Served this at a birthday party along with the cake and cupcakes, and this was demolished, while the others barely got touched. I followed other reviews and added melted chocolate chips onto the crust, which was nice, but really, really hard to cut. Next time I will add a tiny bit of crisco to the chocolate, so it has more of a consistency of the chocolate on chocolate covered strawberries (cutable) and all the flavor. Thanks for the recipe- it is a new hit at our house!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
I planned to make this cake for a Halloween party. A week ahead I made a "test" cake. Let me tell you, this is THE BEST chocolate cake. I took half of it to work and the raves were overwhelming! Needless to say it was a hit at the party and several people asked for the recipe. I followed the recipe and the only adjustment I used (if you want to call it that) was soured milk instead of buttermilk. I used ganache in the middle and top. It was wonderful! The cake was still moist 2 days later! My D/H says this is the cake I have to make for his birthday. Thanks for the great recipe!

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
We really like this recipe, especially as a jumping off point for our own take. We generally never completely follow a recipe, so I'm not going to hold that against it. The soup is a mellow, savory one that can stand up to a bit more spice, if that's your cup of tea. Best of all, my husband, who does not like squash LOVES this soup. This is one for the recipe box.

Vegan Split Pea Soup I

Quite tasty prepared as is, which is what I did. My daugher sprinkled on about a tablespoon of homemade bacon bits that I always keep in the freezer, and she said that pushes up the rating to five starts. For me however, I was aiming for a vegetarian dish. Will make again. :)
