The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
This is a great basic recipe for sugar cookies. I added cinnamon for an extra kick and doubled the vanilla extract. They do cook fast and are a bit sticky. Next time I will definitely make them a little thicker.

Classic Bran Muffins

This recipe is awesome! I didn't have buttermilk on hand, so I used milk instead. I also added chopped pecans and baked it in mini loaf pans for 25 minutes. They turned out perfect, moist and with the perfect amount of sweetness. Great with raspberry jam!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
I divided this recipe into 2 round cake pans and then made double icing (not adding as much icing sugar as called for) and made a layer cake!! It is so beautiful..who wants to eat it! yeah right!! I did as recomended by others and added nutmeg and did half brown and white sugars. I also grated fresh nutmeg on top as a garnish!

OK don't laugh but...I forgot the egg!! Yup I did...Did it make a difference? Well I don't know how good these are supposed to taste with it..but without, they are awesome! Next time I will try with the egg!! lol Don't forget a little sprinkling of salt! and I fried in my wok which worked awesome. I added a bit of peanut oil to bring up the burn temp on the oil.

Dilled Creamed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
this has an awesome flavour!! I must add that you can NOT use dried dill...at least that was my mistake....the colour turned just gross!! But, the taste remained really good. So, stick with fresh dill and you will not be disappointed.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
It is often hard for me to give 5 stars being a food critic and expert cook. Then to top it off I'm Sicilian.. This was very good and authentic in an Italian sense, varies from regions.. I will say that most Italians I know would give this 5 stars too. No need to alter this recipe at all, I did add one thing *which is not authentic* I added a soft chipolte goat cheese to the Parmesan mixture! It does not ruin the perfection if this recipe at all.. I also add some Chianti to the sauce, not to much as you do not want it to become runny. Again, the recipe is to perfection and there simply does not need to be any changes, it is at the cooks discretion! Bravo!!

The only thing that I added was a bit of grated nutmeg! I would suggest any type of jam that you like. but stick to the berries if you like the tart and sweet!

These are delectable!! Like a short bread cookie with Lemon meringue pie!! The only thing is to make sure to grease the sides of your pan well or they will be difficult to get out! ( I know from experience)

White Chocolate Coconut Macadamia Cookies

I guess these were not what I was expecting. Number one I couldn't get the "creamy" butter and sugar mixture and maybe that is why they went wrong from the start! I found that they baked quickly and I had to turn my oven way down.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
This cookies were trully fat and chewy, just what I've been looking for. I made them a little bit smaller and also used different kind of chips (semisweet, white, dark) and made some with walnuts. I recomend eat them warm with a cold glass of milk... DE-LI-CIOUS!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
I made a few alterations due to lack of ingredients. I used good quality dark choc chunks, only vanilla and like some other reviewers did half butter and half shortening. The only other change was I made them WAY bigger and then flattened them with damp fingers. I love them and am planning on hiding them before my husband gets home!!
