Cream of Tomato Soup

The soup was pretty good, though it needed a ilttle bit more "taste". I was thinking of basil, pepper...

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
I can't really rate this recipe because I didn't get it right. Although it looked great from the outside, it wasn't done in the middle (at all!). I used three bananas instead of 2, maybe that's the reason...

Prune Mocha Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
Great recipe, not as moist but still great...used it for my brother´s birthday and everybody liked it. I used 1 cup less of confectioners sugar and icing came just as good, if you want to have more of prune flavor cut down both the nutmeg and cinnamon. Overall really tasty and yommi.

Turkey Posole

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
This is not a good Pozole recipe. The original recipe goes for pork, chicken and even a vegetarian version with no meat/poultry at all. It does not have beans, or jalapeños or anything the recipe stands for. Maybe it is a good caserole of something, but Pozole never...

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
I am Mexican and this is a wonderful recipe. Few tips: if you can fill the tortillas with chicken and FRY to make the perfect taco then dip in green sauce you`ll get crunchier enchiladas...if you only top the fried tortilla soaked in salsa and top with chicken you are having "tostadas de pollo". Anyway you go you can top your dish with lettuce, sour cream, crumbled cheese, chopped onion and cilantro...mmmm...Thumbs up PattyVerde!! great recipe girl!!!

Vanilla Ice Cream X

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
The recipe by itself is a moisturizer for a Mexican Cake called 3 Milks...as an ice cream is not what I expected but I can understand the thrill of other reviews. This was not the kind of Vanilla Ice Cream I was looking for, but I have to say that this was really easy and quick.

Easy Cocoa Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2005
I have never tried making ice cream before and this just turned out to be PERFECT!!! no ice cream machine, no special freeze container...basic elements and you will get the most amazing flavor EVER!!!!! I only cooked the condensed milk and the cocoa for about 5 minutes, not 10 as the recipe says, maybe it´s the altitude but watch over it anyway; the second time I made this recipe added more cocoa and little evaporated milk for thickness, both times perfect, smooth, silky, flavorful and even I was concerned at first for my arteries, I didn´t care much once I ate up the first batch along with my mom, who is not ice cream people and said this was just the best ice cream she´s tried. Thank you Hersheys!!!!!

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: May 10, 2005
OK...The flavor was wonderful and my family had a blast, however I would rather having a thicker and fluffier batter. Make sure your shrimp are big enough to make prep time a quick one, because I couldnt´find decent shrimp and used the small ones, even they were great flavor the prep time became a nightmare of neverending shrimp to fry. On the other hand you should definetely try these with the dipping sauce in the Twice-Cooked Coconut Shrimp recipe submitted by Holly, you will have reviews and wows for several days! Thank you both Linda´s shrimp and Holly´s dipping sauce!!

Twice-Cooked Coconut Shrimp

Reviewed: May 10, 2005
I didn´t use this recipe for the coconut shrimp but the dipping sauce is out of this world, it is the exactly one served at Outback and the flavor is just amazing, I added extra hot pepper sauce not to make it hotter but to cut the sweetness a little bit, very easy to make and enjoyable with almost everything...thank you Holly! I´ve been looking for this for quite some time and now I will make it again and again and again...

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: May 10, 2005
It is a good recipe, very good flavor but does not look at all like the photo you see in the recipe...mine got all the way pink, superextra pink pink...the flavor was truly good and used this mixture OVER my favourite strawberry cheesecake, it turned out to be a hit and everyone loved it...I served it just this weekend to celebrate mom´s day ahead. To be honest I am awarding 4 stars maybe because this is not the recipe I was looking for to top my cheesecake but my mom loved it, my brother and everybody else too, so, yeap, try it, it is a great pie for hot days.
