Broccoli Chicken Divan

Pretty good, I made as written but I think next time I might use Cream of Chicken instead of Cream of Broccoli.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
This was excellent! I omitted the butter completely and added Bacon Bits per other reviewers. However I used very little Ranch to coat them as Hubby is not so fond of it. A great side dish!

Just made these and Hubby loves them! They are not too strong, nice and mild with a great texture. Stay true to the cooking time like the other reviewers say, it works :)

Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® Treats Wreaths

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
I did not have the time to create these into wreaths, so instead I pressed it all into a 9 x 13 pan and put colored sprinkles over all of it. Turned out perfect, everyone was happy (even though this isn't exactly hard to make) :)

Pumpkin Soup

Really yummy. I pumped up the spices with lots of thyme, sage, 8 peppercorns, 1 allspice berry, a pinch of cinnamon and tumeric, and blended it all up nicely with an immersion blender. I served it with a dollop of yogurt which was SO yummy.

Watergate Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
I love this salad and this not the way to make it. Followed the directions as written and tried to save it by adding milk, but next time I will make the pudding first according to the pie filling directions, as it calls for less milk. Once set I will add the pineapple, followed by the pecans. Lastly I will fold in the marshmallows and whipped topping. I have also had it with coconut which is good, but my husband doesn't care for it.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
These were pretty good and very simple. I am a real novice at baking, but I found these brownies to be easy to put together. I also used only 1 cup of flour, which gave them a great fudgey texture, and I left out the walnuts as I was baking for a large party and wanted to avoid nut allergy issues. That being said, it seemed like something was missing. If you decide to leave out the nuts, be sure to add more cocoa powder or maybe even some chocolate chips to give the brownies a fuller flavor. However, even though I thought they were lacking something, they were a big hit at the party!

Mint Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I was displeased with this recipe, I followed instructions to a T, and the mint icing had pieces of confectioner's sugar that were unwilling to blend, and it was hard to get the chocolate melted and on the cake quick enough... the taste was OK but I was very disappointed.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
I followed a few of the other reviews and it turned out great. Instead of water I used chicken broth, and I put the dough in the slow cooker about an hour and a half prior to serving. I really think it helped the overall flavor and questioning of whether or not the dough is 'done' enough. Full points for quick prep time though, this can be prepared the night before and in the fridge! I cooked mine on low for about 8 1/2 hours then switched to high for another 3 hours before serving. Chicken was moist and incredibly tender. This is going into my rotations!

Herb Roasted Pork Loin and Potatoes

Very awesome recipe!! I have a very limited selection over here (Germany) so I used two 1 lb roasts, and took another user's review to cut the time down to 20/50. Absolute perfect timing!! It was incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful. This will be going into our rotation/company dinner's immediately!

I thought that I made this recipe per the instructions buuut... I goofed up and added only 1/2 c. of pumpkin instead of 1 1/2 but it was still pretty good so I can only imagine that this would have been perfect if I had been paying attention!
