About me:
My two favorite hobbies in the world are cooking and photography. I started cooking when I was in kindergarden (with the help of my mom of course), and I haven't stopped since. I love to impress people with my dishes and cook everything from quick and easy for weeknight dinners to gourmet dinners.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed on Mar. 16, 2009 by Mara
Really good, especially right out of the oven with some butter. I had to substitute fat free yogurt for the buttermilk because that's what I had and I wonder if that wasn't what contributed to a slightly thicker bottom. I followed other reviewer's suggestions and turned the heat down and cooked for almost one hour. It turned out perfectly done.

Sweet Potato Bread II

Reviewed on Mar. 12, 2009 by Mara
First, I halved the recipe. Substitutions made include: 1 cup whole wheat and 3/4 cup all-purpose, 1/2 cup applesauce for the oil, 1 egg-beater cup instead of two eggs, and used 1/2 cup splenda/sugar baking mix instead of all the sugar. Also added dried cranberries and did not peel the sweet potatoes. It turned out wonderfully, at just one hour exactly. A little oatmeal and sugar sprinkled on top, beautiful!
