Belgium

With a stunning number of pubs and restaurants, Belgium earns more Michelin stars per capita than anyone else. Flavors are strongly French with a Dutch-German accent. Typical dishes include mussels mariniere, anguilles en vert (eels in green herbs), and waterzooi (chicken cream soup). The Belgians brought the world the endive, the waffle, and limburger cheese; extraordinary chocolates and pastries. Belgian beer is diverse and superb; each type is served in a glass shaped to bring out its flavor. Perhaps most famous is Belgian lambic, fruity, dry and effervescent, and quality-controlled by the European Union.

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

Great recipe! As suggested in the comments, I used my bread maker for this, and was inspired by another comment suggesting to make these into cinnamon rolls. But instead of the butter/brown sugar/cinnamon filling, I used a quick pumpkin custard I made with pumpkin puree, butter, an egg and sugar. My brother and sister-in-law, among others, adored these! Thank you :-)

Not bad for a quick weekday meal! Pine nuts would be a nice addition.
