Wonderful. Made these after another recipe failed. These turned out perfect! I used chopped almonds for a bit sweeter nut. Lovely texture and flavor.

Deep Dish Alfredo Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
I absolutely loved the alfredo sauce, It was delicious, mmmmmm, I ended up eating the leftover sauce with corn bread. I'm giving this 4* since my family liked this pizza. I can't say the same though. Topped with spinach and sliced onions... maybe I should try different toppins next time. Thank you :)

We absolutely loved this recipe! the pie was sooo rich, so incredibly creamy, sooooo delicious!! only used three eggs, added just 1TB of margarine to the filling and made the buttery flaky pie crust recipe from this site (another great recipe you should try!). Thank u!!!!!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
I eyeballed the amount of bread, filling my pan to the brim. I ran out of raisins, so used dried cranberries instead. We really loved this pudding, not too sweet, not soggy at all, just perfect! Forgot mine in the oven XD but resulted into a delicious crispy topping in contrast to the tender filling. Also used lard instead of butter. Next time I'll try adding ground almonds along with the raisins. Thank you!

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
AMAZING!!! I only marinated it for 4 hours and it still came out incredibly tasty. My guests were totally amazed. I added the balsamic vinegar and lemon juice (no zest). I accompanied it with the Oven Roasted Potatoes recipe in this website and it was a total success. I made an aioli to go with both and baked some crusty Italian bread. Plum upside down desert from Chez Panise's cook book. What a hit! Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe, a definite keeper to impress guests!

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Great recipe, but don't use russet potatoes. It took me almost an hour to bake them and they got stucked to my pirex. I had to add a bit of water half way through cooking time because they needed more moisture in order to bake. Next time I'll use red potatoes. I made a lamb recipe from this website and it was the perfect complement. My guests were very amazed with the whole meal. Thank you for the recipe, will do again.

Pear Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Amazing! I keep getting requests for this bread at work. I've used it for a few fundraisers. I use organic pears and it's now known as "Organic Pear Bread," it sells like hot cakes. Some employees asked me if they could buy the whole loaf. I wish it was healthier, but it's SO GOOD that I can't get myself to change a single thing. Thanks so much for this gem!

Grilled Beer Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
I don't have a BBQ so I put the whole chicken with the 1/2 the butter/beer mixture in my slow cooker. After about 6 hours I took off the lid and transferred it to the oven to crisp the skin. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Next time I may try another reviewers suggestion of a brown sugar/chilli mixture just to mix up the flavours a bit.

Penne with Red Pepper Sauce and Broccoli

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
Really nice and simple if you don't bother to blend everything. I used finely chopped jarred peppers and just sauted all the ingredients before mixing with the pasta. Fast and tasty for a mid-week meal.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
Delicious!! the dough reminded me of those danish butter cookies we buy every year for christmas, with the exception that these butter cookies are waaaay cheaper. It uses the simplest ingredients and they're pretty easy to prepare. I placed each cookie ball into paper muffin cups and floured my index finger to make the wells, making sure there was enough room for the jam. Sprinkled with powdered sugar when baked and they looked just lovely. I'm planning to give these away as christmas gifts in the coming years. Also added one small egg instead of two yolks, and they came out perfect anyway. Thank you sooo much MKHG, this recipe of yours is excellent!

I agree with the others, this is surely rich and moist, but in my opinion the coffee flavor was overpowering, I was expecting something more chocolately.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
i also brushed the bread with olive oil and broiled it for a couple of minutes. I'm a garlic fan, so besides the chopped garlic, I like to give my bread a garlic rub too (the flavor is subtler for those who don't like to find garlic bits in their bruschetta). Thank you!

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
Quick and easy, decided to make this at the very last minute and ended up with a delicious dish which didn't take much effort. Omitted the sautening step, I was in a hurry (actually I was starving ;), and added a garlic clove finely chopped to the filling. Also drizzled the baking pan with olive oil, added a splash of white wine and 1/4 onion thinly sliced. Cooked as directed and served with white rice (almost forgot, poured those delicious juices from the chicken-cheese and wine over the rice, mmmmmm....) Thanks for the recipe!

I've used this sauce many times and I love it!! I like mine with less butter, and the amount of cheese depends on my mood ;) Sometimes I thin it out with milk or cream. This one is a keeper, thank you!
