Apple Crisp III

i think there's a misprint here. Shouldn't that 3/4 cup be BUTTER instead of milk? I chanllenge anyone who hates this recipe to exchange the milk for melted butter and see how it comes out then.

Nutty Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
Wow! As this bakes, your entire home will be filled with the most wonderful aroma!!! I made a few changes, only because of necessity. Changes: I used orange juice instead of lemon, a mixture of 3 Granny Smith,2 Braeborn and 2 Gala apples, and I sliced them very thin. Also, I added 2 tsp cinnamon - as suggested by others. This is my new favorite apple crisp recipe!

Cottage Cheese Loaf I

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
I really loved this. The only change that I made was to use branflakes instead of cornflakes (they were what I had on hand) but I think I'll keep that as it gave it a nice colour and flavour. I made this also for my husband who loves meat (meat makes me gag) as something we could eat together but he said "It looks like chopped liver". Argh! The one meaty thing he doesn't like. I loved it: 5 stars!

I made this for my husband's birthday and we both loved it! I kept everything the same except that I added a layer of my own lemon curd recipe in between the biscuit and the cheese- gave it a bit of zing.

Absolutely delicious. I had some frozen salmon in the freezer and cooked then flaked that rather than use tinned salmon.

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
To be fair I rarely add salt to anything I make and don't eat very much salty food so perhaps I am more sensitive to the taste of salt. Anyone else like me will definitely find this unpalatably salty. It literally tasted like I had added 4 tablespoons of salt to the cream cheese. In my attempt to salvage the double batch I had started I added sour cream. It toned down the salt but left the mixture too wet for the wraps. I quit while I was ahead and used a vegetable garden cheese spread and invented my own wrap instead. Thank you for the inspiration though :-)

Macaroni Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
I too found the cheese flavor lacking, however I made this in order to use up some ingredients and make a decent dinner for my kids and both objectives were met. In fact my boys say it's really good and they like it better than Kraft. They rated this recipe as 4/5, so there you go! I changed the recipe to feed 2 but there was enough for me and a light snack for my husband who said it's good.

I love this salad - although I half the oil and vinegar quantities. I also add cilantro as well as parsley, and any other veggies I have going to waste in the fridge. It also tastes amazing the next couple of days, so make sure you make too much!
