With so many celebrations in the month of January alone, it’s just as well the Scots have a rich repertoire of excellent produce to choose. Haggis, neeps and tatties are a must, alongside obligatory whiskies - but Scottish game, cheeses, and shellfish are well worth celebrating too.

About me:
Hi, I'm Caroline, mother of two hulking great men who spent their youth bringing home hungry kids for some of "Mum's" cooking. I'm back living in Scotland after many years travelling. 1 year in the US, a year in Spain, 3 months in Egypt and 11 years in Holland to name a few. I love to sample local foods wherever I am..and chat to the chefs! Cooking is my way of relaxing.

Apple Muffins

I loved these muffins! They were all eaten in record time too, so I suppose everyone else felt the same. I doubled the amount of apples and cinnamon and thought the muffins came out perfectly that way. Thank so much for the great recipe! I will be making these often.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Oh these are divine!!! Just made these for a relaxing sunday morning and they are fabulous. I didn't use the crumb topping (all out of butter) and I was all out of vanilla as well, but they were absolutely perfect!
